I have been trying to reclaim some space in my computer room by <gasp> reorganizing/identifying/labeling the out of control mountain of cds that I can't seem to manage.

During this drudgery, I have come across many more than I will ever admit to, doubles of the same game. I'm good at preordering then forgetting and buying the game at amazon or someplace. Doh! They always arrive within a couple of days of each other just to give me that special 'stupid slap'.

I found SIX, yes, 6, copies of Darkfall!!! I don't even like that game! Gah! I got so mad at myself, I had to leave the room for a while. When I calmed down, I returned to my label maker and the huge pile and continued with my task.

Hurrah! I don't really have 6 copies of Darkfall, only the normal 2~ I realized the cover art for DF also appears on a ton (at least 4!) of games on the back of other games as advertising! It looks exactly like the front of the DF game! Dumb, dumb, dumb.

I got bored and the pile still sits there. Maybe another day....

OK, now what?

It sounds like I'll be seeing you in the Trading Post when you get done. lol

What are you using the label maker for?

Hmmm! Sounds like why I ended up in the strait-jacket.

Mind you, despite trawling the internet for games the only one I have managed to buy twice is "Voyage"/"Journey to the Moon", and then that was only because it was named differently in NA and Europe.

Take care!

I did that once with the Diablo & Tomb Raider games years ago.

But then again I was a newbie to gaming...

I've done that more than once! Not 6 copies, but certainly 2, and in one case 3 rotfl

I probably have some 500 games +. Every time I get a new game(s), I add it to my database and save it. Now I know exactly wht I have and how many copies.

You need to spend a lot of time at first, but then, by keeping up with purchases, one can easily update things.

Cheers, barbarosso

I have a data base too, but sometimes I see the game while away from the computer, or I'm in a hurry because if I take the time to find and open my data base, the game will already be spoken for rotfl

My defense is I figure if I buy more than one copy, I'll give the extra to my sister.
