Hi Boomers I have to ask...Please be honest .. Do you flip flop between games? I have three games started & I go from one to the other I think its a problem I have. But I just like the thought of these games not being finished

Well i have been off and on playing moment of silence for a year or two now and only recently got back into it and up to lunar 5 section. I have alot of games unfinished as well as these days i just lose interest or cant pay attention to something longer than say 30mins to a hour or two. I just like browsing forums too much hehe. But yeah im a flip flopper as you call us. lol. I once remember when i was a youngster about 10 years ago that i played games for hrs and hrs on end. Colonization and fronteir elite 2 i played for months and months at a time. I miss those days but i sometimes hate how i was as i have bad eyes now cos of computers.

I can only ever play one game at a time. I like to concentrate 100% on one game, and then when I've finished it I move on to the next one. I think if I played a few games at a time I would forget exactly where I was in all of them, due to all that zig-zagging. However, if I do get hopelessly mired in a game (Sacred Rings springing to mind here ), then I can leave it for a couple of months and move on to something else. Eventually I will go back to the original game and take another crack at it. That is my exception.

Absolutely. But I'm a book flip flopper too. I have one next to my bed that I read before going to sleep or on lazy Sunday mornings, one next to the ironing board that I read in tiny tidbits when waiting for the iron to heat up, one near the computer I work on, for during time-consuming processes during which I can't do anything else, etc etc. It also depends on my mood which book I like to read, and the same goes for games. Sometimes I feel like a funny, lighthearted game and sometimes I feel like a psychological thriller or maybe an exciting Role Playing Game. I don't think it's a problem or even strange or weird. Why should I have to finish a game I don't really feel like playing at that particular time before starting another?
I'll be back, one day, when I feel like it.

I'll normally have a couple of old DOS games floating around, plus some demos. And a "proper" game.
Right now I'm swapping between Discworld 1, Ark of Time and Leather Goddesses of Phobos (apologies to the Fairer Sex, but it's a throwback to my student days). I've got a couple of demos to install soon. Plus, I'm about to re-start either Fahrenheit or Broken Sword 4.
Books tend to be one light and one serious at a time, with dips into my pdf collection when I'm near the computer.
God knows what would happen if I played for more than about 4 hours a week, though!
My karma just ran over my dogma.........

I'm a HUGE flip flopper. I have about 5 or 6 adventure games on the go not to mention my hoyle games, DOS games and my casual bigfish games. I have a very short attention span and while I enjoy all the games I tend to get bored after a few hours and move on down the line. Then when I don't feel like really getting into a plot driven game I play the casual ones. Of course when I'm feeling nostalgic I go to the DOS games.

Hi, Darleen. I'm not a 'flip flopper either, I like to concentrate on one game at a time...I tend to lose the plot if I try to play more than one... I like to really get immersed in the game world and I don't think my poor brain could cope with several worlds.

I'm like Tyke. One game at a time. If I get restless, I play casual games. Teddo

Hi I try to restrict myself to only having upto 3 games installed at any one time - but don't always succeed. I just enjoy them all too much Books I mostly stick at two, though. Cheers. Mad

Oh my gosh yes. I flip and flop until one really grabs me and then I play to the end. Through it all I flip-flop on my casual games as well. Linda
So many games, so little time.

I fall into the non-flip-flop camp. I usually stick with one adventure game until it is completed. If I'm in the middle of an intense game but don't feel in the mood to continue it one night, I'll do a casual game or jump online for some Family Feud (cheesy, I know, but so much fun!). Sometimes if I get bored with a game I'll leave it unfinished and play another one until I feel like finishing the first one, but generally, I like getting caught up in the stories and prefer not to get distracted. As for books, I tend to read those one at a time, too. The exception is if I'm reading something that requires me to think a lot, I might put it down for a few days and read something light and then go back to it. It seems to give my brain some time to process the deeper stuff.

I'm a one at a time kinda gal. If I'm wanting a quick fix of something different I'll do one of Peter's puzzles, but if I don't like the game enough to go back to it, I uninstall it.
