I'm working on Still Life and I have a question. Can someone help??? I'm just starting the games and in my inventory I got the Forensic swabs, tweezers, film, luminol, and black light filter. The WT said to use the black light filter on the forensic LAMP. Is it suppose to be in my inventory from the start or where can I get this. Thanks in advance....
Thanks I'm Listening

Hi Karen, The forensic lamps are floor-standing and are situated in a couple of the rooms. You will not be able to move them to inventory.

If you mean the back-light filter .. you should have collected that from Claire's case, along with the swabs and tweezers etc.
Use the back-light filter on the standing floor lamps.

Hi Gillan the game is very good. If you can help me again I would appreciate it. I'm in the junk yard and I'm trying to move the crates, I get the Idea on how to move them but, right now I'm in inventory and trying to get hold of the cutters McPherson face is up there and I can't seem to get him and the cutters together. When I go back to the crates he keeps saying I'll need more then my teeth to do this. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong or tell me what I need to do. Thanks again for your help...
Thanks I'm Listening

Karen have you started moving any of the crates using the crane? Once you can walk onto the crates I think you'll be able to use the cutters.

Hi Sue,
I've moved the one crate by the double boxes so far. When I went into inventory to retreived the cutters the moment I clicked on them McPherson's face showed up and I just thought the combution went together I click on it and I went back to the crate I wasn't able to cut the links... What I'm I doing wrong or what should I do right???
Thanks I'm Listening

Karen I thought I had him standing on the crates in order to cut the chain but I just don't remember. I think I moved one of the crates close enough to the chained one so that I could get him to jump on over. Have you already tried that?

I had him standing on the crates as well to cut the chain.
Did it work Karen?

Still having trouble with the cutters. My last save did't hold and I need to do almost all the chapters from the beginning. So here I'm still trying to get the cutters in his hand so he can cut the chains. I go to inventory and I click on the cutters then go up to the hand and click on that and nothing happens the cutters are still in inventory it won't work. Can someone tell me if I'm doing something wrong or what I'm not doing right. I'm ready to throw him to the dog...Thanks in advance.

Hi Karen,
Try going to the chain and getting the magnifying glass on it, you should see the fist/hand appear, then go to inventory and click on the cutters, then the chain. Actually I think if you do it in that order Gus should automatically cut the chain.
Good luck,
Gillan

Replaying this one myself. Does anyone know if a saved game could help her? I just replayed that part to check to see if I have one and I do, but not sure how to get it to her, if she wants it.
Just finished Still Life. That is one AWESOME game. Played it 4 times now and just can not get over it. The story, most of the graphics (there is some very minor oddness in one location I've found) but very involving and interesting story. One big complaint, can someone find actual Black actors and write for them so they don't sound like idiots? Please?

Karen, Did you move the 2 UNCHAINED crates so that they're side by side next to the chained ones and also next to the edge of the walk outside the hut? Also, are the cutters you're trying to use ones you picked up on the ground next to the hut? I ask because I don't remember if there's another tool in inventory that looks similar to cutters. Jema

I went into inventory click on the cutters and it highlighted then I went up to the fist and click that and the cutters weren't highlighted any more I still went back to the crates and nothing. He keeps saying can't cut it with my teeth. Help... Thanks

Karen did you move any of the crates to bridge the gap?

I honestly don't know what else to tell you to do Karen. I remember have the bolt cutters in inventory and stepping over a couple of crates to get to the chained ones but don't remember having difficulty cutting the chains.

I didn't arrange the crates like this every way but. I hope by going back into the inventory I can click on the cutters and the hand and it will work. Thanks guys I'll see if this works.
