I am suppose to pick up goggles in front of the Goddess bust but when I do the guard kills me. How can I move on?

Betty are you in the first part of the game? I don't remember having trouble picking up the goggles here.

Yes, Sue, I am in the early part of the game. I have first picked up helmet with goggles. But then I go into Orientation Center 17. I try to hit guard with oar and then I go to viewer in front of the Goddess bust and take the goggles. That is when the guard shots me.

Okay, go back but this time after you take the oar, don't whack the guard. Just get the goggles and wait until they yell Halt Deviant at you and then just do as they say.

Now, I am really stuck! I cannot get out of the forest without being caught.

Are you trying to get to the crab cave?

Yes, and also away. I got to the crab cave and was eaten. Then back to square one. What exactly do I do,Please.?

You can follow the map seen in the walkthrough or you can have a saved game just inside the crab cave, Then follow the wt from there.
The saved game of this game is touchy - hit.miss in installing.

The map is very confusing. I have gotten into a hut and picked up one halp of an owl's face but I can't find the wooden stick to pick up. Does anyone have a spoiler?

If the map confuses you best not to use it.

Okay. I've gotten the stick and gotten to the crab cave. I've talked to the lizard but I can't find the half of owl's face

Betty, in the crab cave, have you seen the stone owl? I think you have to put the half-owl face on that stone owl before you do anything more...

I am in Forest, part3. I'm suppose to to forward toward stone arch, look down and pick up necklace. Is this important later on because I can't find the necklace and I don't know whether to just skip that and go on? What say?

Yes, it is important later on. If you don't have it you won't be able to do a puzzle.

Remember where you saw the cutscene of the woman being harassed by the soldier. Go to the right of that place. See bushes at right of the path. Look down and the necklace is there.

After the necklace, turn around and go back to the are where the woman was accosted by the soldier.
Now instead of right, go left.
Go forward 4 or 5xs from that area and watch your surroundings.
Watch for the stone arch.
After you pass under the stone arch, there will be a split in the path.
Turn right and there should be a path going straight and one hidden behind the stone arch. The volcano or mountain can be seen in the background by now.
Take the path hidden by the stone arch and there should be a blue plant closeby.
Go forward. Again watch where youa re going, there should a bridge of sorts, maybe a plank or log. Cross that bridge.
Go forward amybe 1 - 2 clicks. There should be a big boulder on your left.
Turn around 180.
The path here splits: one is left and the other is at right with a tree at the center.
Take the left one. Go forward until Miranda talks.
Look around and you should see a stick of sort on a rock or on the ground.

Thanks, MaG, You're a huge help. I've gone onward, thanks to you and now on the other side of Volcano. The sea serpent keeps eating Curtis. I've thrown the rocks to the left side of the cavern. They don't disappear. However, the monster goes over there. So I'm assuming it is safe to swim but not so. What am i doing wrong?

Betty, from checking Marita's walkthrough it doesn't look as though you swim--this is what she says (I've put what looks like the pertinent part in bold):

Jenny, as soon as you click rocks on the other end of the cavern, I then click on the ledge on the right. They start swimming and I click again on the ledge which just starts then off again swimming to the ledge and the monster gets them. So, I am completely stuck. Help!

You toss the rock as far as possible - close to the mouth of the cave.
Wait until you see the serpent. When the serpent appears - immediately go to the ledge at right that is closest to you.
Then immediately climb up to the next ledge.
Timing and be fast. You can do it.

MaG. Impossible. I bet I've tried fifty times. I toss the rock as far as possible to the left. When serpent appears I immediately click on ledge just to the right where you can see a ladder. Then you see them swimming. If I click again the scene starts over with them swimming and here comes Monster to eat Curtis. Has anyone been pass this stage.? Betty

It's not impossible since I did it and a lot of gamers have since 2004.

There is a possibility that you might not be clicking on the correct ledge. The first ledge is the closest and below where you are. Then click on the one by the ladder.

Check UHS Hints.

I must be really dense, MaG. I've done just as you say. Immediately upon seeing the sea monster on the left I click right by where I am standing and the scene closes and shows them swimming. Perhaps I am not placing the clicker toward the right spot? I see the ledge right below me and I place the clicker there but nevertheless the same scene closing and the swimming scene. Is there any other help. Please. Betty

You throw the rock at the farthest place, close to the mouth of the cave.
Wait until he surfaces.
Then turn to the right wall. Click on the ledge below where you are.
Then click again to the next ledge where the ladder is located.

As much as I hate to admit defeat I guess I'll have to abondone this game. I have tried SO many times, in vain to keep them from swimming. I immediately click on the right ledge below me but alway the scene closes with them swimming and being eaten by the monster. Thanks anyway for all of your help. Betty
