Merry Christmas To All!

Has anyone tried this game yet? Looks interesting, kind of Azada-like. Let me know your opinion.

It was all I could do to contain myself - downloaded and tried the game yesterday as a club member.

I wanted to ask if this is indeed an Azada sequel?

I was afraid the game was short, I thought only 7 levels and I was progressing rapidly on my hour demo - BUT then I noticed the bar at the bottom and it seems to be 20 levels. The puzzles get progressively harder and I was stymied by a puzzle in level 7 or 8 and it really challenged me. I knew there had to be a solution but it took me quite a while to work it out. You have 3 red pegs on left and 3 blue pegs on right with one space in the middle and must move the red and blue to the opposite sides. I did solve it, finally, but it was a challenge.

I will be buying this one but might wait for my next credit in 2 weeks.

Anyone know if this is a sequel to Azada?

Hi Linda...I was also stumped on the peg puzzle...do you mind telling me how you solved it. I could not get it at all and gave up at that point. Really frustrating in a fun kind of way.

I played the demo last night and really enjoyed it, but I was thinking I was halfway through in the hour and thought it would be a short game. I'm glad to hear there are 20 levels and that the puzzles get progressively harder. They did take a page from Azada in that you are able to replay the puzzles, at will, once unlocked.

As for the peg puzzle, if you played "Keepsake" the puzzle was in there where you had to exchange one side of figures to be on the opposite side. It's just a matter of figuring our how to place your next piece so you have a place to jump to.

This one is a sale for sure.

I don't think this is an "Azada" sequel, as the next game is supposed to have something to do with "Magic Book" isn't it.

Not an Azada sequel. It was made by a developer 'inspired' by Azada. A true sequel is coming...

Linda,
I am not sure if it is a budget thing (money or time that you want to allocate per month) but you can get as many game credits with Game Club per month as you want at the same cost as your monthly credit...just login to "buy" the game and it will give it to you (and any other games you want) at your normal Game Club price.

Thanks BFG-Guy. I might be buying this without waiting for my next credit, it is that much fun, and the only other game that I purchased an additional credit for was MCF Prime Suspects.

It is a budget thing but thank you for bringing up the fact that we are only limited by our own budgets. There are lots of people that are not aware we are allowed to purchase additional games at our club membership prices. (My satellite connection really eats into my gaming budget rotfl )

:christmas: to you :shiver: Linda

It's not bad. I find it a bit dark though. I have an LCD monitor and I had to turn the brightness up to see anything (at night). I really like this one - it seems like such a copy of Azada in its use of classic puzzles, but I guess good games spawn clones. smile

I always considered myself a "bright" person... not a book of knowledge, but pretty smart UNTIL I started playing these games. Now I feel like an imbecile. I couldn't finish Azada, so I doubt I'd do justice to this one. I like it but just wasn't smart enough to figure out the puzzles.

It must be that these puzzles uses a side of the brain that I don't have! LOL. I do love hearing about them though.

Thank you N.Y. lady, I agree with you. I tried the demo, and love the mystery suspense reminds me a little of ravenhurst, just a little. My favorite part is not the random puzzles but finding the objects in the room that go together and progress the storyline.I hope BF guy you do a game using all of that.
I also got stuck at Azada, and never finished it. Please game developers some of us gamers just need an option out, not a few skips. LOL I already used up my skips in nightmare, and I applaude those who can get to level 7 in a hour demo. I got as far as the remove the pegs and leave 4 and still stuck there.
Edit.....................................................
Please can someone help me in nightmare because I am really stuck with removing the 8 matches to make 2 squares. Please tell me where are the squares and how do I accomplish this? I love this game but I fear it is the end for me if someone doesn't come to my rescue. Really good storyline love finding the clues that is the best part in my opinion. Thanks in advance for your help. I have used up all my skip puzzles.

you're very welcome!

As much as I loved this game, some of the puzzles don't make any sense. :| (unless you're having a nightmare, after you've been hit on the head very hard - I guess.)
Click to reveal..
Put a battery in a gun and use it on a coffee maker to turn it on, whereupon it produces a key. Huh?

This one's even better:
Put some fireflies in a bottle and put them in a pair of headlights for the car. Fantastico!

All Hail Sally!! I'm loving this game so much but am not the greatest at the mini-games. I'm more into the actual areas that make up the story-line. Someone else here mentioned having a game made that doesn't have the mini-games, just the areas where you have to find the clues etc. I totally second that!

I've finished 4 rooms in 33 minutes so am not going to bother with the rest of the demo, just going to buy it. I'll wait till tomorrow though as I'd likely be up half the night playing it. LOL

I absolutely love this game and, for the most part, (I really don't mean to brag, really I don't grin) I am pretty much working my way thru it with very little problem.

Thanks a billion for the WT bravo. I'm stuck on one of the scenes and now I know why thumbsup

So far I've only used one skip and that was on the 'loops' mini puzzle at the very beginning. Did anyone get thru it? I got stuck on the last one (red). No matter how hard I tried or any which way I placed the loop pieces, I came one tile/loop piece short. cry

I just added the solution for loops. They pucker in AND out. Here, to save you the trip:

I did manage to get through the loop puzzle quite quickely which surprised me bigtime. I had problems with the peg puzzle and I did use a skip on it. I checked out the video on the walkthrough Sally mentioned and was ashamed of myself as it wasn't really all that difficult once I saw it done.

Glad to hear that a Dream Chronicles sequel is on it's way. I think that is one of my 5 favorite games although I thought it was too short. It will be nice to be able to play the first one and then the second one right after.

So, how long do you think this game is, does it have 20 levels?

Flo, I just peeked at Sallys walkthrough for you and there are 20 sections to it, so I have to say that is a good indication there are 20 levels.

Thanks Ana,

I thought it might be a bit short looking at the main screen, so I didn't bother keeping it. Maybe I'll use my next credit on it, when it comes up Jan 1.

Thanks
Flo

Pretty good game; just a few random points

a) Wish it was more of a mystery- I figured out what happened by the third scene

b) Very well done, but some of the timers seemed to be short just to force you to do the level over, which grated.

c) I finished the game but none of the minigames appear to be unlocked

d) theres a bug in the traffic game- it's possible to get one of the road designs in a winnable state (everything connected no loose ends except for dead ends) that the game wont recognize- I had to use a skip.

Whimsical/ I noticed a bug as well with the traffic game - it's actually expecting a road leading out of the loop at the bottom. I think it was #2.

When you start the game did you try choosing mini-games from there? All of mine are unlocked. If you can figure out where the game is saved I'll send you my profile.

Hi Whimsical,
I too finished the game & all the mini games were locked. Wanted to play some over, but can't. Is there a "hidden secret" to open them???
