Hi there.
I am after a detective game and was woundering if someone can help me find one.
I want the lead character i play to be female as i like games like the longest journey and syberia and still life. They just sound nicer and sassyer hehe which i like. Good to have a mean streak in them too if possible.
Would like top end gfx and good story. Point and click, 3rd person only. NO ACTION at all. Or if there is describe it please. Also i would like the more locations the better as i like going to diff new places in games i hate games where u dont go more than a few locations like stuck in a house throughout the game or somit.
English spoken with english subs as well maybe so i can read while there speaking as it helps burn into my memory lol. Secret files of tunguska was awsome so something really like that would be nice.

Have you tried Culpa Innata yet ? As I understand, there's a female lead detective who investigates some murders. The game is point and click and you can see your character e.g. third person.
I haven't played Culpa Innata myself, so I don't know how much action there is, but I doubt there's much action in it as you just around talking to people, I think. The story seems to be commendable, to, from what I understand.
If you like historical dramas as well, you can try out the demo (german, I think?) for Nostradamus who tells the story of how Nostradamus' daugther have to investigate disguised as a man.
Post Mortem and Still Life also have female detectives. I can't recall any action in them, but maybe others can shed some light about action in these two games. Oh, and the female detectives in post Mortem and Still Life certainly have some mean streak in them as well whereas the female main character in Culpa Innata starts out being a bit naive when the game starts. But the story Culpa Innata is well worth it, I'm told.

Are you sure Post mortem has female detective? I thought you were in control of Gus in that.

I have culpa but havent played it yet that was a bit of a baags session with that one lol. Hoping to get some more of a collection of this type of adventure game with females in with a mystery/detective role as the story. I also have still life and made a review for gameboomers if you check the members review section. Good game which there is a game coming out soon which weirdly looks exactly the same as still life named Art of Murder also has the exact same start kinda too after playing the demo. Not as well made i think tho gfx wise as SL. Post morton hmm ill look for that in the review section here but i think its a bit old isnt it? Ideally id want games from 2006/2007. Bit fussy when it comes to gaming these days, i mean i have loads of games i havent played or have played for like a hour then never played again adventure and other alike. So after a special game i want to devote some time with. And what better way to spend it other that with a sassy women to control.

And Secret Files: Tunguska has a female lead too. Very little action. Lot of locations. Linda
So many games, so little time.

Why not try the Carol Reed series? Strong women, good puzzles, lots of wonderful places to wander round. East Side Story. Remedy and Time Stand Still were the best in that order They are on the independant games above this page. Cost of 4 games including shipping £30. I got all 4 and enjoyed them very much, I think Becky has written reviews on them too.
Has any one seen any little gray cells around as I think I've lost some? Reward for finder.

Aren't the Carol Reed series 1st person? I've only played Remedy, but can certainly recall that as being 1st person only. Return to Mysterious Island isn't a detective game per se, nor 3rd person, but it has a female lead character, with great graphics, story and puzzles. I'd recommend that one.

How about: Murder on Orient Express - Detective story and a female lead. She's not a very interesting person though. Paradise - From the creators of Syberia. The main character is also pretty boring... The Blackwell Series (Blackwell Legacy and Blackwell Unbound) - Each of them has a strong female lead, and though it's not a detective story you do get to investigate alot. The graphics are pixelated old-school, though. Post Mortem -not a female lead character. Scratch that one , although it's one of my favorite games - Gus makes me swoon! Wow niteowl! And I thought I was the only person with a crush on Gus.

Journey to the Center of the Earth also has a female lead; but she's not a detective, she's a photographer. And she's not real sassy, though livelier than some. And it is 3rd person, point and click, no action, with multiple locations to visit. ------

I'm surprised no one mentioned Gabriel Knight. First of all, it's a must (all of them). Second of all, you play both with Gabriel and Gracie (his female sidekick) in GK2 and GK3 (in GK1 she's only assisting...). I'm a male, and I really relate to Grace's character!
There's definitely definitely definitely no logic to human behaviour.

Well thats a glitches and patches forum problem really but a ISO is a image file which is like a compressed folder of data that is packed neatly to be burned on a dvd for instance. Many cd/dvd authoring tools such as nero burning rom can do this. Theres lots of guides on google so you shouldnt need more help with burning it.
Alternativly you can just use a virtual cd/dvd program such as daemon tools to mount the ISO image as a virtual disc in a virtual drive. Benefit of this is the game is being installed and used on the hard drive which is considerably faster than a cd/dvd drive, hence why ppl use this method alot.

Is there a walkthrough anywhere for Fate By Numbers? Couldn't find anything other than the site for downloading it and a patch . Thanks in advance
