I thought it would be better than it was. It is like a "choose your path" book/game but there is too much reading compared to the playing. It is possible it gets better but I didn't even finish the demo. For anyone interested, every game is worth the demo time IMHO. Linda

I was excited about this game actually. I loved the choose your path and 5 minute mystery books. I'm not however a fan of anime in any shape and form but thought I would give it a try anyway.
There is A LOT of reading and clicking and there is a "puzzle information" button if you're stuck on one of the puzzles. I didn't find it much use though. The puzzles seem to be the "keep trying till you get it" type with little idea exactly what you're supposed to do.
I'm still kind of stuck on whether or not I'll buy it though. I may just wait for Dream Chronicles 2 unless I can find some info about the game to see how long it is.

I agree with you JL: Way too much reading. Can't get the jist of some of the puzzles. No way to get out of them until you figure them out.I think I'll be passing on this one. a real pain in the buttocks. Not fun at all , more frustrating if anything.

Just wanted you all to know that there is a game guide available at the Honoko website which has cheat codes for all of the puzzles.
I do want to also let you know that there is swearing (a reference to a bodily function) in it just in case someone wants to get it for their kids or grandkids. I did end up buying it and it's not that bad once you get the hang of it. There are 14 different endings and you can skip the puzzles you've already done in a previous go round.
I think it is worth the $7.99 but I wouldn't pay full price. I think what I like the most about it is the 14 endings. This means you can play the game 14 times with some different puzzles in each go through.
The game guide isn't all that great in explaining the puzzles although the cheat codes are worth their weight in gold on some of the puzzles.
Only one REALLY annoying thing though is that once in a while a puzzle pops up referencing something that you saw earlier but doesn't give you the ability to go back to that "something" to see what the puzzle is referencing. I've been through the game 3 times now and it's happened about 4 or 5 times now.

I gave up on it when I too just stuck at trying to open that stupid book. I had 25 min. left in my trial and uninstalled the game. Not for me. Too much bleep, bleep to go through.
LOL Hugs To all

I would have to say it's the perfect game to play while watching TV. I wouldn't suggest it the first time through but as you go through 3 or 4 times you don't have to pay as much attention to the talking as you've heard most of it before.
I was mostly intrigued with the fact that it has 14 endings. Made me want to play it and get all the endings...LOL I'm on #6 now.

WTG jldcat I thought the game has promise but just got tired of the reading. I liked the rooms though and enjoyed finding how to progress. Linda

Thanks Linda. You're right the reading was a bit of a pain the first 2 times through but then you remember what is being said afterwards and skip through them until you hit something you haven't heard....LOL

I'm working thru toward my second ending and have gone past two scenes that I consider sexually suggestive . #1 Christine spends the night at Lisa's house and they sleep in the same bed. Christine dreams she is Kristen and is about to kiss her prince when she wakes up and is horrified to realize she was about to kiss Lisa. A little lesbian action suggested here? #2 Lisa's parents have taken the girls to a large house where she is given a beautiful long while dress that is cut very low. She is then put into a room to meet the guy in her dreams who is the vampire. He kisses her and the description of the kiss includes his tongue going deep into her mouth. This for a 15 year old girl?? The character may be very young but the story treats her like an adult. Gee, even Nancy Drew and Ned haven't gone that far yet Am I being too prudish?? Do other games do anything like this? Am I the only one surprised??
Life's a puzzle; one piece at a time.

Thanks for the warning Butterfly. It is not unusual in RPG games but not including what should be a 15 year old. Unfortunately have one child still in high school and the other two in college, I can honestly say that at 15 they do a whole lot more then that. Not all...but a lot of them. This behavior would not be uncommon here. Ana

I have to agree with you Ana, a lot of girls 15 year olds are doing more than french kissing.
Yes there is a choice to make about lesbianism in the game, you can either say you aren't sure how you feel about the other girl, tell her you feel the same way, or tell her that you don't feel the same way. Depending on which way you answer you can get a different ending. I haven't gotten that ending yet so don't know how explicit it gets.
