Help, anyone. I keep getting stuck on Nov. 17,2011, after the nightmare. I cannot get Arthur to call me. I went back 3 times to previous games to see if I missed anything and I do not think I have. When I try to continue without Arthur calling me, I cannot get the letters to respond in Ivars cabin.
Oh, by the way, I also installed the patch.

Ed,

I think that patch is more trouble than help.
Can you replay to the point of underlining the number at ivar's cabin, call the number and then call Arthur again. Continue from there and see if the hump can be smoothed over that way.

Thank you for responding. Are you talking about the red rolled top desk? If so, what number are you referring to?
Thank you,
Ed

Yes, the roll top desk at the loft at Ivar's cottage.
I think it's on the 4th or 5th letter on the pigeon slots and its a set of numbers that looks like phone numbers.

Eddy

I haven't reached that part of the game yet.... but here is my suggestion for what it's worth.

Obviously you have an anti-virus program installed on your computer. If it is Norton, turn all of Norton features off until next re-boot (if you have high speed modem, don't forget to unplug the power source to your modem).

I kept getting glitches in this game until I did this.

See my post at Glitches:

Hope this helps

Just a little aside here, I agree with RAL, Norton had wormed its way into everything, my puter was taking around 10 mins just to boot up, games kept freezing. Uninstalled it and installed free AVG. No probs now.

Hello RAL,

That did it! You are great! I dialed 537-8488 and Arthur said he would get back to me. He did and I did not even have to leave the room. Thank you for your kindness in helping me!
Bless you!
Ed

Hi Eddy

Sure glad that I could help you.
It was my pleasure. I see that you are new here at GB. I've lost count of the number of times I've been helped and I try to to my best to help when I can. I'll be catching up to you soon.

Sure is a great feeling to know that if I am stuck I can post and get help.

RAL

Eddy - finally caught up to you and was curious - did not turn off Norton and sure enough had the same problem.
Don't know where you are now - I'm at the cemetery - forgot to turn off Norton tonight and had problems again.
Must go to Glitches Forum to get a recommendation for a new anti-virus progaram - Norton really is bad from what I saw from Upsydaisy's post.
