I can play it all fine, I've even gotten to the end. Some parts due to FAQ's. My problem is that my copy doesn't seem to do the Iron on the last page of the Journal trick, I've seen exactly where it goes. After doing the code and getting out of that area, it showed up. But I can't do it myself. I'm not sure if it's a problem of maybe it's not patched all the way up. Or is it maybe a Vista problem(That's what I run it on) I haven't checked my version number yet. I'm thinking maybe that's what it is.

Before we check for glitches - have you looked at that last page of the journal using the magnifying lens. I think he has to know that you have to iron it to do the ironing part.

The magnifying glass stays the same sliver color, I know where it is, its in the middle of that bracketed area of that page. But it is the regular color cursor, like it is with the rest of the book. I hadn't thought of looking at it with that first but all the same one big nope.

Have tried or looked close at the safe upstairs yet? This will give you a reason for that clue.

This is what UHS hints stated: To look at the journal with the magnifying glass, you will need to do so from within the inventory area. Left-click on the magnifying glass, then when the cursor changes to include the magnifier, move the magnifier over to the journal in the inventory. Click again.

The magnifying glass reveals that there is something unusual about the journal. Right-click on the journal in the inventory to look at the final page.


Then use the iron carefully.

That's what was missing. I thought you were talking about the cursor that you always have, I didn't know that there was an actual magnifying glass to be found.. Does that come in after you view the Safe or is that there the whole time? I never noticed it before. Thanks a bunch, (my faq was just updated..)
*Edit* it is in the one I have... I must have glossed over it D'oh!! Now that I know it's there, it stood out like a sore thumb.. but still it is a nice and very simple game. I noticed that some rooms he doesn't allow you to leave until you have everything. Why was I allowed to do it without picking up the Glass I wonder. But up to that point I hardly needed one(that part and the Mayan ball puzzle.. What a lulu...:D )
