I've done everything went back several times and can not see anything I missed. I'm standing in the room with with the furnace and nothing in there is anything to do. Could someone please send me a save for chapter 4. I'm at loss as to what else to try. Thanks Diane Now the game locks up so maybe it's my computer. I went back and tried for the 4th time cannot see anything I missed. I'll have to wait for a save. Thanks Sue

Diane I'll have to make you a saved game. Will edit this post when I've sent it.
Sue
Diane I have a saved game now but am unable to find where they are stashed on my hard drive......sorry but my only suggestion at this point is to literally follow the w/t step by step and repeat all of this for this portion of the game.

Thanks Inferno!
Sami, I've sent you a saved game, the saves can be found in My Documents. I don't know anything about installing them other than the normal stuff. If it installs, the picture will be of him standing in the train station in front of a panel with lights on it.

I am now stuck (Chapter 2) in the three chambers. Am supposed to pick the "opposing" of six and then the number of "three." I don't get it - duh. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Laurette, this is the explanation from the WT:
"3 metal vents: Go right (north) 4 times and be back at the stairs area. Go right (east) through an entryway on the right wall.
Left metal vent: Look close at the left metal vent and see clamps encircling the vent.
The clue given by Quagmire is 'The first can be opened by using the opposite of 6 with 3.' In a dice, the opposite of 6 is 1. 1 with 3 = 4.
But I found that several solutions can open this metal vent: Click on top small clamp and the large clamp next to it clockwise or click the top small clamp and the second small clamp clockwise or click on all small clamps right of reset at bottom going to top counter clockwise. There might be more solutions. This can be because we're lucky due to the dice?"
When I played the game, I choose to click "on all small clamps right of reset..............."
Good luck.
Chief

I'm Back... Now I can't find the "flute hide..made of wood." It appears there are two rooms with desks that I can find nothing to use. I've been to the Worrymeister (who kicked me out). Have been to the boiler room (locked gate). Thanks again.

I have also posted on "glitches" about this game. It is fun, when it works right. Anyway, my question in this forum is: the walkthrough says Look at the clues. What clues? Match "sign" and foot". How do I do this? And, just for the record, I can't get back to the map. The letter interface, i.e., "m" for map, O for options, does not work for me. Thank you. I am getting really frustrated with this game, even though it is fun when it works. Thanks.

texaslady: I am sorry, you'd think I'd know by now. Chapter 3. I have found two bodies (am detective now). Have obtained charcoal and paper and seen footprints. Tried using paper and charcoal on footprints, but no luck.

I'm not sure what to tell you about the map problem you are having Laurette, it showed up for me when I'd move away from a place I'd been. Have you tried to use the symbols on the Ouija board to get the prints? I guess I'm thinking of the one in the upper right hand corner.....action icon maybe?

Xcentrik, you need to find a way to get rid of that guy in the office of woe so you can take a better look at the desk.
