I have been playing ZUMA (He says with a blush) for about 8 months. While I still don't know if it's entertainingly irritating or irritatingly entertaining, I have managed to fight my way to level 9-6. I completed it; let out my Tarzan yell; puffed up my chest; waited for some kind of endgame; and was confronted with the vile blue grotesqueness of section 9-7. This leads to my question. I want no tricks or spoilers, but I would like to know how far I will need to go before the end? Indeed is there an end? Will I eventually pass from this world, having completed perhaps level 17-9, and still be shooting little round balls?

Hi The Haze, I found an article on Wikipedia about ZUMA and I think it explains quite well how the levels are broken down. I never bought the game so I have not played it until the end. I understand that there are 20 temples, whatever that means. There's also another discussion with players who discuss the length of the game, click HERE to read the whole discussion. Good Luck in your quest and may it not take you another 8 months to finish :-) Margie

Thanks Margie. According to that article there are 12 levels. If you finish level 12, then there is a bonus level to finish and then you win the game. At least, that is how I understand it. Let us know when you beat it

The Haze, there are 12 levels and the space level is the end of the game. I was scared when I finished level 12 and saw that there was more and thought that I would be going on forever, but the space level is really the end.

Yes the game has 12 levels and after that is level 13 but if you lose you will start again from level 12. This is very annoying. I was trying like forever to pass this level but not as i did for level 9. This was the hardest part. I even played the game from the beggining to gather more lives.

TheHaze another great game similar to Zuma is called Luxor. It's also a very addictive fun game. You can still find it in stores. Also the casual game Davinci's Secret is another fun game.

You should also try Tumblebugs (which I prefer to Zuma and Luxor) it was just fun, lol, Butterfly Escape and Inca Ball.
Supposedly a sequal was supposed to be made for Tumblebugs but I've never seen one.

I found a game called Azteca (I believe it's actually Inca Ball) being offered on one of the free game sites, gametop.com. Much like Zuma only I like this one better.

Have you used them before? Do you know if it is one of the sites that install software when you download a game from them?

It didn't appear to install software, but when you go to play the game it does pop up their site. That doesn't bother me though.

I'll try this Azteca game right away. It seems really nice from the screenshots. Does it need to be connected to the net to play it?

I loved Tumblebugs, if GGOTD doesn't offer it up free soon I'm gonna have to get it with my BFG membership, lol.

Looks like there's another one to try out, Sparkles.

I shouldn't have read this thread. I downloaded Zuma after reading this and played straight for 55 mins on the demo. Then I made the mistake at looking at BFG's "marble popper" category. Oh dear! So many... I just downloaded a ton of demos to try out including Inca Ball and Tumblebugs. I have 4 BFG credits right now and I'm trying not to use them all today. Anyway, where was I? Do people like the Luxor series? BFG has a Luxor Bundle Pack which contains Luxor and Luxor: Amun Rising for the price of one. Looks like I have a new addiction in the world of casual games! This isn't surprising though since I used to be a FPS gamer "back in the day" of the early FPS PC games.

It all started when I was reading some threads on Azada elsewhere and thought to myself, "What is this Azada that everyone's raving about?" I never thought I'd get so addicted to a new genre of games (casual games). I thought my addiction to adventure games was bad enough but this is much much worse. ETA: For those who like the Zuma-type games that have the "shooter" at the bottom of the screen (like Luxor), check out Atlantis Sky Patrol. REALLY gorgeous graphics if you're into the whole metal/steampunk type aesthetic. I think I'll be purchasing this along with Zuma today.
