I am at the very beginning of the game and I see that I am going to have to do something to the electrical panel before I can activate the machine in the office and get the cablecar going...but I can't find anything to do to it! The only active items I see are a box, chair, and control panel but even using the telekinesis he won't pick up or interact with anything. Help!

Telekinesis is the only skill you have at the moment? Did you flip the switch on the panel? Be sure to read all pieces of paper you might find.

It won't let me approach the panel. He says something about it being dangerous and he wouldn't have touched it if he were still alive. I have been upstairs and found the writings on the wall and the diary, but I can't pick up the key card inside. Yep, telekinesis is the only skill so far.

Amyt, can you use the telekinesis to flip the switch that Sue was talking about? If you can, then you don't have to get close...luck

Thanks...I'm going to try right now!

Edit 1: Okay, I did that, then went upstairs and got all the lights lit up on the control panel, but the cablecar still won't go. Any suggestions?

Edit2: Geez...this game befuddles me b/c it is so nondirective. Finally got the cablecar to work, got to the next site and got the metal cage to open. Now I don't know how to get through the door. Any help would be appreciated.

It is the outer office you arrive in after you ride the cable car. There is a desk, dripping acid, and there was a mechanism on the desk into which you punch the employee code from the card in the diary. That code opened a metal cage-like enclosure that surrounded a door leading out of the outer office. It is this door that I don't know how to open. I wondered if I was supposed to use the acid on the lock but the acid ate a hole in the bowl on the desk.

There are "things" lurking in the corner to the left of the cage. These "things" don't like acid. Did you find a way to catch/carry the acid yet? Hope that helps. luck
Explore the corner thoroughly. If your bowel is gone you may need to go to a save before you lost it.

It's okay if you have a new hole in your bowl amyt. You need to find a liner for it so do as Gaily suggested and check out that corner of junk.

I just started playing this game, and I am confused as to how the cable car machine in the office is supposed to be started. I flipped the switch on the fuse box, but I didn't find any other indications or clues about the machine.

Help!

Thanks

Edit:

I also read the diary in the office, but that game me no clue on how to get the machine to work properly. I just futzed around and got one light to work, but does anyone have a solution for this one?

Thanks Dragon. Found the bugs, but they are too fast for me. I tried to bypass them, but its not working. What do I do now?

Dory engage the bugs and try to zap them. When you've had enough, hit the backspace key on your computer and I think that allows you to skip the puzzle.
Just go back and look again to make sure the bypass worked.
Good luck

I haven't gone back to try, but in my mind, I have decided that it is my mouse that is too slow. If my mouse were faster I'd nail those suckers! lol

I have now lined the bucket with asbestos and filled the bucket with acid, but it won't let me pour the acid on the door or the handle. Is that where it is supposed to go? If not, where?

Thanks Dragon. I was hitting the space bar, not the back space. It works well, when you do it right. LOL

I am in hall B. I got the cabinet on the post open, but I can't make it stay on. I went to the panel , by the monster, & did the levers & switches(as in the drawing), but it still won't work. What am I doing wrong?

Try this: Push the Hall B lever and flip the left and the right switches beside it.
