I've just got a cheap edition of the first two Broken Sword games - hoping I'll be able to play all through the first game this time.

My eye ran randomly over the blurb, and noticed that whoever wrote it decided to describe "Broken Sword 2" as:

"another mysterious escapade of brutality, calamity, and immorality"

At first I thought they had left a T out, but the blurb carries on with this to me misleading waffle. If all I had to go on was the box blurb I wouldn't have got the game!

Used to answer to "Peter Smith", now answers to "Peter Rootham-Smith"

Hi Peter Smith smile

I have owned the XP version you are talking about for a long time now but because I know both Adventures so well from my many re-plays grin I've never bothered to read the blurb.

You are right !! eek

Cheers.

I never bother with game-box blurbs in the same way that I never bother with publisher-produced book blurbs. I read GB instead to find out if a game is worth getting. smile

I think "escapade" is the key word there, meaning the game will be light-hearted and not too serious. I played both games last year and liked them very much. Can't say the same about Broken Sword 3 or even 4, which was an improvement but not as good as the first 2 games in the series, to my way of thinking.

To love is to be happy with!
