I was wondering if anyone knows of casual games similar to Westward (the 1st one).

[Westward] was Casual approach to RTS genre. There are not many games like that. [Deep Quest] was another Casual RTS, but not so good as [Westward].

I saw a game called Escape from Paradise, would it fall under that catagory. I think I'll DL the demo and try it.

Yes PMcOuntry, Escape from Paradise is similar but not completely the same as Westward. I loved Westward and also enjoyed Escape from Paradise. Just to let you know, Westward 2 will be out soon, I can't wait!!

A couple of old games that might qualify: Settlers and Empire Earth. What I didn't like about them is the amount of fighting. Like building towns and researching tech.

I have Settlers IV which I played for a short while then never went back. I don't really like the war sims.
