I cannot get past the symbols puzzle. This is the puzzle where you have to place the symbols in the right boxes to go from start to finish. This is the best way that I can describe it. I can't figure it out! Help Please!

It was hard - nearly drove me mad Penny but you need to look where the stamps are in relation to "Start" and you start with the shortest strings first. The best I can tell you is you find the stamp and 2 symbols and the stamp is West and Up One if I remember. Then the one with 3 symbols is Up Two but I don't remember the direction, I think North*something*. This is a casual game with a very tough code puzzle but if I could do it you can too. It took several tries for the last half dozen symbols. The correct ones stay and the wrong ones come back to the center screen. Best I know how to explain/describe it Linda
So many games, so little time.

If you look at the number of symbols you soon realize that you are not going in a straight line for most of them. It does help that the 2 symbols is 1 step and 3 symbols is 2 steps; this will help you to narrow down the possibilities. I never learned how to capture a screen-shot so I can't send it or post it, sorry. I did run out of all bonus time but that doesn't affect anything so don't panic. In chapter 6 now I hate it will be ending soon. I am milking the game for all it's worth. Linda

Linda, it's really easy to do a print screen. First, open a paint type program. I use the Paint program that comes with Windows. Go the screen that you want to copy. At the top of your keyboard should be a button labeled Print Screen or sometimes, Prn Scn, or something similar. Press that button. Alt+tab to your paint program. Click on the blank white page (at least is what I get) You could also click on File, then New. Make sure the cursor is in the new page and Paste. (Control+V or pick from the edit menu) You should have a picture of the screen in your Paint program. There are programs you can get that allow you to get screen captures by just the push of a key, but this is the method I use the most.

Thanks L4L, I must give that a try! So I would use the PrtScn on my keyboard and Alt+Tab, then leave the game to go to my Paint program and then paste? I will try it with the next code puzzle. Since I am in Chapter 6 now it will probably be even harder than the last ones. Linda

Penny, Take the shortest line of codes which is only 2 symbols. According to the boxes, except for the 'stop'symbol, all of them indicate either to 'face' or to 'go', and a 'face' symbol, logically, always goes before a 'go' symbol. Using the stamp with only 2 symbols the first one is a face symbol so you establish the direction you would have to go from start to get to that stamp and so you've then figured out which direction that symbol stands for. When working the stamps with more than 2 codes, I found it easiest and least frustrating to configure the symbols & directions by going back wards. If I don't end up at the stamp, I made a mistake. I hope this helps It's definitely a tricky puzzle but once I got started, it was fun.
Life's a puzzle; one piece at a time.

I'm not at all good at this. After I got four correct, out of desperation, I entered symbols at random and when it cleared, some stuck. Then I did the same thing again and again and again. Finally, they all stayed in their boxes and I got out of the puzzle. If there had been a "skip", I would have used it.

If you really want to cheat to get past it... just keep clicking on hint... I had unlimited hints and it placed them all for me.
