I am in the core. I need to get down the stairs.Each way I go the top lady scientist catches me.Sometimes I make it to the stairs but the man scientist is coming up it.Are there 2 scientist on the top level? Seems they walk both ways. Is it just by luck you make it, or is there a certain way to do it. Any help would be appreciated, I am getting fried just like Zoe, doing it so many times.Thanks

This is the way I did it:

Wait and watch for the pattern of movement of the scientists. The female scientist goes clockwise and stops in front of airlock. She goes to right frame and back to left frame. The male scientist also goes clockwise.

One way to get by is to wait for the female scientist to be on the left side in front of the airlock, sneak towards the core, sneak to the right and then run to the stairs.

Go down and go clockwise behind the stairs on this level so as not to meet the male scientist.

Go around to the stand close to the stairs and insert the encapsulated worm on the core stand. Watch the cutscene.

I'm pretty sure there are two scientists catsmom....one male and one female.
I think they both walk in a clockwise fashion. I think I just got lucky here, didn't have to repeat the steps at all.
But if you are having trouble, try watching them so you'll get an idea of when they start moving and where they will stop.

Hi Ladies I think you both were lucky to get past this. I've done it about 30 times. Maybe another 30 times and I will get it. Strange in your games they walk clockwise, my game they both walk either way. So when you say sneak that means to use the Ctrl key? Over the years I see lots of people have finished it, so this scene cant be too impossible.

You can do it catsmom. I do think I was lucky.........thank goodness. If you can't get it and get too frustrated, we probably have a saved game near this part to help you out.

Thanks again, I finally got it. Had to keep moving the mouse around to check where they were, then I made a run for it. Had to wait til the man scientist climbed up the stairs and moved away. Started now as April..thanks

HELP. Anybody have a save game for the "core room"?
I have been fried so many times there is nothing left of
