The walkie talkie glitch was fixed by the patch.

I loaded the patch as soon as I saw your mention of it. It did nothing for me.

The patch works. I've figured that the thing I thought was a glitch, WAS. The glitch is sitting in front of my computer dragging that mouse around with a single minded fervor and one thing in mind, playing this game! Every time there was a 'problem' I had just gone somewhere or done something crazy instead of taking my time and checking things out, or just taking a glimpse at the walkthrough.

Do you have to restart the game for the patch to work?

No,Jenny. You install the patch and let it rip. It doesn't mess with your saved games, either.

Would you have a save for the Carrion Woods after the first millstone where you can see the tower of northfield. I've been through the forest a dozen time and all I can see in the first one is a fuzzy black dot. I'm getting dizzy. Thanks

I'll look for one since I have 8 or 9 folders of saves of 8 apiece (unlabeled).

Meantime, be sure that the markings at bottom of each millstone are the correct ones: 1. winter, 2 spring and the third is summer.
Then look through the hole at top of millstone.

How can I make more than 8 saves? Such a long game eight isn't enough. Richard

I go to My Documents.
Open the TLC folder.
Make a new folder with a label that describes what I will place in that folder like: 1 saves - Cat to telephone booth.
Then highlight all the saves outside the folder, copy and then paste inside the folder.
Then you have saves of those 8 and can now overwrite the ones outside the save 1 folder.
This way, if you need to replay you have one outside.
When these are overwritten, make another folder save 2 with new descriptive labels.
And so on.

Finished this beast yesterday and it's like (as it says in the game) staring into the abyss and having the abyss stare right back into you!

Hi MaG. I did the millstones exaxtly per your walkthrough, but when I go back to millstone #1, I see what I saw originally through the top opening, which is the next millstone and not the church. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, FJT.

FJT,

Double check that the symbol of spring is correct. You might be placing the autumn symbol.
They are very similar.

Lost Crown - can't find tidal cavern to see light coming from hole in ceiling. Only saw light in smuggler's cave. Help! Celtic Colleen

If you're coming out from the smuggler's cave and do a Tarzan act - go left after that swing.
Forward to the other part of the 'abyss' crevice area.
You will then see another forward - do so. You are actually on the main area of the cave now and if you turn right, you will see that dragon? water monster?
Contionue to go forward and then right - you will see the light in the tidal cavern.

night three-nocturnal surveillance. I am on the monitor-re:the beams. I have located the words and the w/t says to click on each word to form the sentence "evil which lives within the walls"-where and when do I click as the words don"t appear.

If you have located all the words and know where they are heard. Then click those places to form the sentence.
If correct, Nigel will repeat that sentence and you will be done with it.

Thanks finally got it however I am stuck again.Lucy came back to the cottage and is now manning the environmeterand have done the bathroom and saw Christina crying, kitchen read the journal, heard growling sounds in hallway, saw black mist in kitchen and the Agers at the hallway. Bedroom the cabin opened,orb activity and cabinet rattles. Lucy calls and Nigel goes down Looks at balcony monitor and sees a shadow of a man hanging on the beams. Nigel climbs to the balcony but the camcorder doesn't work nor the camera or recorder. Any suggestions?

Help! I'm in the cemetery and am trying to put at bay the black mist. I've read the book, the letter and collected all five plants. Problem is, I can't find the door I'm supposed to use, according to the walkthrough. There are two locked doors that I can find, but I can't put the plants on the frames of either of them.
What am I doing wrong?

I had a little trouble finding it .The door you need is the front door of the church .

I can only find two doors, not including the one you can walk into the church......is there another one somewhere I'm missing?

Before you get to the entrance door of the church, you walk a diagonal path.
Before that path is a double door that is locked. That is the one you need.
The other 2 locked doors are single doors.
