I'm having trouble making Night 1 end. I've done the scrying and the seance, seen the picture frame shape on the wall and smelled the rotting flesh, heard the 'traveler' on the phone, but I've rechecked the tub several times and am not seeing the hair the WT says I should. Does anyone know what I might be missing?

Thanks! Kristi

Kristi,

If you installed the patch, the hair will be seen.
If you so not see the hair, just click on the tub and it should proceed on.
Click on everything active and the night will end. luck

Hmm... I did install the patch, but the hair still isn't appearing for some reason. Maybe I've missed something else.

I also noticed that when I left the house, I could see the Morse code flashing from the kitchen window, but couldn't zoom in on it and Nigel didn't comment. Could that be causing the problem?

Thanks again!

Whoops, never mind--I clicked on the bed and all is well (for me, not so much for Nigel). :-)

That's ok - click on the tub after close up anyways.
The patch I think is the latest one this week.
The Morse code is just flavoring for the game - no need for close up.
Please double check that you have done everything in the wt.

I'm unstuck now! MaG was right, simply looking in the empty tub was enough. Thanks!

What happens if you don't have the patch and you don't see the hair? Are you stuck in day one? I don't want to get to the end of the game and not be able to finish because I didn't see the hair; which I didn't. I got the nightmare, but no red glowing eyes. I do have that patch installed.

No - after doing everything - just go back to the bathtub and click on the tub in close up. If you sleep then - you're okay.

Next problem, in the smuggler's cave, when I click on the recording of the men singing, I can hear it. With the second one, of the spirit woman, all I get is Nigel commenting about a strange recording from the smuggler's cave instead of the " Bring me a Pasque flower. What did I miss?

I think you're not listeneing to the correct tape. He will mention the smuggler's cave on the tape of the men singing. That is the label of that tape.

I was listening to the right tape, but I gave you the wrong quote. He says " A haunting recording from the Saxton cavern tidal chamber", but no tape recorder comes up and the recording is not heard. I've done it five times with the same results. Is the Pasque flower important? If it is, what do I do?

You probably are doing this - but you're right clicking the tape, aren't you?

Yes! When I right clicked on the first tape, of the men singing, the recorder came up and I got the sea chanty. On this the second tape which has the picture in between, I do not get the tape recorder poping up with the Paque flower; I onlty get the haunting recording quote.

I think there was a time or two that I had to move to a different location before I could play the tape. Sorry to not have more ideas, perhaps MaG or someone else will in the morning.
Edit: Oh, have you had another reference to the pasque flower in the game yet? I may not have listened to the recording right away until after I got that.

According to how far you are in the game .Then you can take a picture of the flower .It releases the siren in the cave Emiley. For that you need the recording of her in the cave ,

There is also another reference to this clue so, proceed on and see. As for that tape - try getting another recording when you get a close up of the light.

Another recording problem. I'm at Guerney's tomb. I got the camcorder of the orbs, but I can't seem to pick up the tape recording of " he took my hands" any Idea what I missed?

The hotspot for the recording or the camcorder is above the toomb. One is when you're standing on the side and one is when you're on the head area. Try changing position and see where you can get it. I think also I got an active spot like on the wall close to the window.

I've tried that. I hit the hotspots and the recorder is recording something, but he never comments that he needs to listen to the recording and a tape doesn't show up in inventory.

Those words came through the camcorder. So try the camcorder again and see. You do have the subtitles on, right?

Yes. I did get the " he took my hands" at the rood screen. Is that adequate for continuing the game or am I supposed to be getting something else there?

That's enough for you to look for his hands.

Cool! bless you!****************************

I seem to have tech problems. How long does one watch the Environmeter? I've watched it for about 30 minutes and have seen most of the things mentioned numerous times; but Lucy has yet to say anything. Do you just keep jumping from monitor to monitor until she says something? the kitch-hallway is a veritable hotbed of activity. :-)))**************************************

Nevermind!
