Fifth racr,

Check your e-mail in a few minutes. I have to hunt for that save yet or make a new one.

Can't get out of the station. Second night and have taken picture of men/baby lined up at station. Have also gotten 3 ghosts in picture. Have recorded train sounds. Nigel won't leave. What am I missing?

Use the camcorder on the pictures ahead right of door. Click twice and look close at the picture of the train by the Saxton station. See men waiting to climb aboard.

Pull back and now use the camera on the pictures. See 3 additional men in the Station Staff picture posing at the station.

Use the recorder on the pictures. Listen to the tape of the train coming.

Exit the station.

Oh, you are so patient with dense people like me. I didn't magnify the camcorder picture. Didn't know you could do that. Thanks!!!!

It is night. I'm at the church looking for plants necessary to trap the black mist. I have gathered all plants except for Binding Nightshade. To the best of my knowledge, there are three doors. The double ones to the church entrance. A single door with what appears to be two ventilation panels in the bottom(which poofed black mist in my face) and a single door which is rusted. That one has a vine growing up the right side, but I can't get a "take" cursor on it. By any chance, do these plants have to be collected in the sequence which is shown in the book? Please help me....I've been at this for three days, on and off, and I'm mighty frustrated. Love, Teddo

The herbs doesn not need to be collected in order BUT you need to collect them all first before you start the puzzle.

My mistake in describing this in one post - it IS a single door.
It is the door right of the path going to the entrance of the church.

I will see if I can get a picture.

Not quite possible, brought it back from America right before returning to Europe. Don't sell it here.

MaG - Thanks so much. Found the door and the Binding Nightshade. The picture helped a lot. Don't remember seeing that particular door before. Teddo

Can someone tell me what the symbols should be on the millstones when I have turned them correctly?

I'm having this same problem. I've tried both the autumn symbol and the spring symbol, but I never get the picture of the church at the first millstone. I went back and made sure I got the "magic music" when looking at all the season stones around the Ager house, but it made no difference. I have a picture of both the frog and the heron. I picked some flowers (daisy, yellow flower, and pink foxglove). I fiddled with the millstone back when I was getting the mushrooms for the soup/stew. I wonder if some of the "extra" stuff I did might have caused a glitch and upset the puzzle.

Jenny,

Did you get the map from the worksop of the husband? Did you check all the scrolls? Did you see all the other symbols and clicked on it in the house?

I have the map of the millstone locations (or a copy of it) in inventory.
I checked 4 scrolls.
I clicked on the stones that had the seasons symbols in and around the house (kitchen, bedroom, by the front door, and the broken one in the workshop). I even went back and clicked on them again, but nothing changed. I don't know what else to try.

There was a book in the Celtic Corner shop that had pictures of the symbols and looked like you could click on it. Was I supposed to click on the symbols in that too?

Another thing -- the symbol for summer is rotated 90 degrees clockwise from the symbol pictured in the walkthrough. Is that normal?

EDIT ---

Well, that was weird. I just started up the game (after turning the computer off all night). I have a save from right before doing the millstones. Last night I reloaded it several times trying to get the puzzle to cooperate. I even exited the game and started it up again.

But today, first time, it worked. Turning the computer off must have fixed it somehow.

Ah - great that you got it working. It needed sleep to get it going. laugh

The book at Celtic Corner does not have these symbols. I don't think so. think

I think that angle on the picture was deliberately taken that way. Tricksy.

Yes. I guess the game was tired last night. Or maybe the computer got scared and didn't want to continue.

Do you have any idea what's going on in ***this screenshot***? It looks like it was made from a torn picture. Was yours like that?

Is it supposed to be a tear in the spacetime continuum or something?

You have to wonder how that tree could survive, with a tear in the spacetime continuum running right down the center of it. Of course it may be a ghost tree by now.
