Hi Guys.... I'm writing for a buddy who just got out of the hospital and he would like to know (since he'll be confined for a while) what Gameboomers' would recommend as the best three adventure/puzzle games released in the past six months. I know I can count on the Boomers for a terrific recommendation. Thanks a bazillion! Witchen

Hi Witchen, of the games I've played - not sure whether these were all released as late as the last 6 months but: Culpa Innata, The Awakened (excellent if he doesn't suffer from motion sickness)& Eastside Story

I'd recommend:
Culpa Innata The Lost Crown Sherlock Holmes versus Arsene Lupin (I'm playing this one at the moment and having a wonderful time!)

Witchen I'm playing Rhem3 right now and I think it would be a nice relaxing game for your friend to play.

Does he like classic adventure games or scary games?
Three classic adventures I truly enjoyed lately are:
Culpa Innata Sherlock Holmes vs Arsene Lupin Nostradamus
Lost: Via Domus is great too if he likes a bit of action!
Scratches and Penumbra have got great reviews if he likes scary adventure games.
Hope he is feeling better soon!

HI User, forgot Evil under the sun. Good suggestion! And Sinking Island has not been released in the US or UK yet as far as I know.

Evil Under the Sun and The Lost Crown because both have the clues in them if you know where to look. Then something like an early Monkey Island for the laugh factor. 3 very different games to show him how wide the gentre is. Edit that for humour go for The Ghost in the Sheet as it's quite recent.

Has any one seen any little gray cells around as I think I've lost some? Reward for finder.

My votes would be for The Lost crown, Sherlock Holmes: Arsene and an unlikely tie between Culpa Inada and Limbo of the Lost, which I enjoyed for totally different reasons. All of these are immersive "big" games with excellent stories, graphics and characters. I also enjoyed Evil under the Sun and Ghost in the Sheet. "Evil" had some technical problems and "Ghost," while wonderfully clever, seemed a bit short to me. We have been lucky to enjoy a fairly consistent stream of some excellent (and long awaited) Adventure games in the last 6 months or so. I am looking forward to the next batch due out soon. Keep 'em coming, I say!!

Hi Guys... and WOW! Thanks for all the great feedback. Its pretty obvious that Culpa Innata and Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened are two very popular adventures. So, I will definitely recommend those two, plus several others. My friend is fairly new at gaming and has only played Sherlock Holmes: Silver Earring that I know of. Thanks a bazillion for all the help. I knew I could count on the fabulous Boomers to come through big time! Witchen

How about the Adventure Company Collection Volume 1, five games for $20: Dead Reefs Keepsake Return to Mysterious Island NiBiRu Secret Files of Tunguska
I've only played Mysterious Island and Nibiru before, and thought they were pretty good, though Nibiru is probably a little too hard for a beginner without a walk through.
For casual games I still enjoy Peter's jigsaws.
Good luck to your friend, Albert
