Having successfully tackled the myth of Cthulhu in the award-winning Sherlock Holmes - The Awakened, Frogwares is once again venturing into a disturbing and fantastic universe, the world of the Prince of Darkness, in an adventure which combines romance, mystery and horror. In the game, you play the role of Professor Van Helsing, the celebrated vampire hunter, on the hunt for Dracula, while Dracula himself is on a quest for a mysterious manuscript which will give him the power to raise the dead. Your goal is to prevent Dracula from finding and using this manuscript, but also to kill him, in order to liberate the souls of all those who have had the misfortune to cross his path. To see the new screenshots, click here.Using conventional Point & Click gameplay, Dracula: Origin is a superb adventure supported by impeccable graphics and a rich storyline which takes you to London, Egypt, Austria, and of course, to Transylvania, the famous home of the great vampire. Through a combination of 2D environments and animated 3D characters, the game faithfully reproduces the world imagined by celebrated author Bram Stoker, with all its associated motifs (horror, love, blood, crucifixes, stakes, garlic, etc.), in a disturbing, fully-realized and absorbing Gothic atmosphere. Dracula: Origin will release in May 2008. For more information, visit the game's website.

Thanks Becky for the link to the screenshots!
The game looks simply gorgeous!! Frogwares are not unknown for giving us amazing graphics in their games (see sherlock holmes!) but here they really have outdone themselves! I can't wait to play this game!! On a note: I hope this game won't have any motion sickness issues like the sherlock holmes ones...and also is this game 100% adventure? No action at all? I thought from the description , killing Dracula and all, it might include action elements as well. I do hope not but you never know...

Wonderful screenshots. Looks like a great game. I've played the other ones but were so dark. Looks like a real good game. Can't wait. Richard

Those screenshots are magnificent. I'm really looking forward to this game. I'm still thinking that "Hendrick" is the spitting image of Tom Waits!

Another for the list - seems like there are way more adventures releasing than a few years ago.
