MaG Sonic Boomer Joined: Dec 1999 Posts: 69,977	After you light up the barrel, turn to the left and forward to the scaffolding. Turn right and forward. The planks should be on your right. The ladder you use is the gate that you might have picked up earlier. It is inside that cave behind the hanging skeleton.

MaG Sonic Boomer Joined: Dec 1999 Posts: 69,977	You run out of bones and rags? One suggestion - you know which holes are not the right ones - go back to a saved game where you still have one and keep dropping until you know which hole and proceed from there.

MaG Sonic Boomer Joined: Dec 1999 Posts: 69,977	Take bones. In items, use the rags with hip flask to get rag soaked in alcohol. Use that with bones to get bone torch. Light it with the matches.

Unless someone else comes along, have you tried just retracing your steps to finding the log? I'll put this section of Marita's walkthrough here... Click to reveal.. As Watson, from the hole in the ground where Holmes talks to you, turn around about 180 degrees and walk towards the large rock that should be straight in front of you.
