Pamvan -- I'm not quite sure where you are, but I'm assuming you're using the little arrow on the top right of the map to bring up the next level on the map? I think you might be here: Quoting from the walkthrough: First Deck
Move Lea to the end of the deck (left on the map), and keep going until you see the first object. The area camera shows a staircase leading up. Switch to the upper map level and turn on the light at the top of the stairs to bring Lea up.
Second Deck
Whether or not you are using night vision, Lea will find it dark and dangerous. She suggests a spotlight “up there,” by which she means the camera opposite her. Turn it on with night vision and scan around to find the path you need to lead Lea to the next stairway. The path looks like wide boards. After you have the path well in mind, shut off the night vision.
Turn off the night vision and see the shining spotlight. Slowly use the spotlight to guide Lea along the path of boards to the next stairway. She goes up to the Third Deck. I would go back to the night vision, and then pan with the camera along any path you can see where she could walk on the planks/boards. Then switch off the night vision and pan with the spot light along that same path -- she should start moving when you pan with the camera to the right spot. I hope this helps -- you kind of have to experiment with the spotlight.

Yes, that is just where I am. I'll try again. Thank you for the advice. I'm not sure I've seen the spotlight. Well, here I go... ----- I found the problem, I didn't click the correct camera! Duh. Thank you for your help!

You did post correctly on your own thread, pam. I had to finess my position (straight on) and click fast and short to get it in that eye. I think mine floated away too after a while and after I got the words. Maybe someone else can give you their technique.

Whew...glad I did this right! I'll keep on trying--tomorrow, probably. Thanks! Still, any other suggestions are certainly welcome!

Pamvan -- I tried that for quite awhile and then realized that I needed to click one other thing to extend the arm a little more. Once I had done that, it seemed to work much more easily.
I don't know if this will help or not -- if you've managed to get the arm in another hold already you've probably already exteneded it enough, but it may be worth a try.
The only other advice I could give (which you're probably already doing) is this: the current (as I recall) carries the arm to the right, so don't aim straight for the hole, aim slightly to the left so that the current can then scrape the arm along until it actually reaches the hole.
