Are there any known glitches with this game, or am I just being a nitwit? I've played through to the end of Day 1. I've experienced the first flashback, have spoken to the nurse and the watchman. I've spoken to the detective, have received the message from Kim, and am now trying to leave the hospital to return to the hotel. And the game won't let me. I'm click-clicking on the hospital gate and absolutely nothing is happening. I've double checked through the walkthrough and don't appear to have missed anything. I've replayed the section over a couple of times in case I played a sequence out of order, but I'm still stuck. Any ideas before I throw a tantrum?

I just played this part. Did you talk to the nurse completely? Did your character say something about it getting late? Did you read the message from Kim? After talking to the watchman, did he leave?

Yes, I've spoken to the nurse completely. My character did mention it was late and he should be leaving. I read the message from Kim (should my character comment on this?), and I spoke to the watchman until he left the scene. I can't think what it is that I haven't done.

When did you talk to the detective, did you call him? That's one thing I didn't do and am able to leave. Maybe try talking to the nurse again?

I've called everyone, but no-one's answering their phone. OK, I'm going to go over everything again with a tooth-comb. I'll report back if I'm lucky. Thanks, you two.

I didn't call anyone during that section of the game. After the flashback, I talked to the nurse, left the hospital and got the message from Kim and read it, then talked to the watchman. He left the scene, then I went through the gate.

Update: it didn't work; after retracing my steps I'm still standing in the rain looking at a locked gate.

I got your save and now I'm standing in front of the locked gate. Do you want my save, hopefully it will get you passed this problem. Or you can try the patch that L4L suggested.

That patch only fixes video issues with certain cards, so I think Rushes is right--it's save time.

Please CYE in a few minutes, I'll also send the file called "lastgame". One thing I noticed about your saves is, they are "Day 1 Eveningd.savegame" and "Day 1 Eveningd.png". My save doesn't have the d?

I added the "d" in, because otherwise I think the saves write over themselves within the same chapter if you don't do that?

I tried taking the d out and was still stuck at the gate. Maybe it caused the save to go bad? Did you receive my saves? And did they work for you?

I got the saves - thanks. My little guy is now standing outside the gate. I think he's a little relieved that I didn't make him polevault it. I'm not going to rename any more of my saves, just in case - but they do have that facility, so it's odd.
