Can't get past the French twin paintings. WT says use magnifying glass on both paintings. Glass won't show up on right hand painting. Then can't seem to get lamp on either painting. Is that the same lamp that I had to go back to the dark storage room to get? Can anyone help?

Be sure that you have:
At the crate by the front door - Click the portrait of Napoleon done by Holmes' great uncle. Read the paper; the next clue that is automatically taken.
Then see if you click-read the label of the 2 paintings (on the frame) that are similar. I think one at least labels it with the Uncle's name.
Then examine-look close at both paintings.
Yes - use the lamp from storage room on the left painting.

OK Marita, I've got it now. Guess I didn't click on magnifying glass during the close up. Anyhow, I'm on my way. You are wonderful.
