Any idea who was the manipulative mastermind who hired Valdo in the beginning and arranged for him to be at the Manor? Was that Hector? Or Francois the king?

It's been ages since the last time I played it but unfortunately I cannot recall.

It's been months since I played this one too and I don't remember either. (I guess it wasn't a startling revelation.)

Has anyone played this game recently?

Yes, I replayed it a couple of months ago. I can't remember. The game must obviously carry a subliminal message over the closing credits: "You will forget everythinggggg.."

Same here. I do have a feeling, though, that it's not revealed in the game - I think Valdo never really finds out.

Really? But I don't even remember being frustrated by not finding out.

I think I was too distracted by other revelations and the chance to err, escape on the you-know-what.
