I'm on a bit of a dry spell here and I can't seem to find any new adventure games I want to play. The last three games I just played were Overclocked, Tunguska, and The White Birds. Loved Overclocked, Tunguska was fun (the stuff you had to lug around was ridiculous though) and The White Birds was sort of "meh." It seems like all the latest and greatest involves ghosts and things that go bump in the night. I know myself and I know that regardless of how great they are I'd be freaked out within the hour and it'd stay on the shelf to gather dust. Are there new(ish) adventure games that offer downloads in Canada (Staples / EBgames would be fine too but it's hard to find adventure games in stock) that has cheery surroundings, live people (no ZOMBIES please...DH plays Resident Evil and I hide in the bedroom) and won't make me look over my shoulder while playing at night?

Hi Sally, How about AGON: The Lost Sword of Toledo? I enjoyed that very much. There's a lot of dialogue at the beginning of the game, but the story is interesting and it's colourful and bright. Have you played any of the Carol Reed mysteries? East Side Story is the most recent. Or how about Culpa Innata, with its involving story, creative puzzles, and long gameplay?

Have you played Jack Keane yet. I bought it from my local EB games store. I live in Alberta though.

Hi Rushes, I've played Culpa Innata, liked it very much. Tried the Carol Reed mysteries and could never get into them. Haven't tried AGON though. I'll see if I can find it at my local EB.
Cathy, I have Jack Keane. It keeps crashing on me - at random points in the game. I'll wait for a patch before I try it again.

Hi,
What I do is to download every single demo available, play them and decide. There are many available.
I wish I would get scared by a game ...

Mad/ Cleopatra is available for a quick download. Yay! Thank you. Hi Phoebe, I played Sam and Max up until "Abe Lincoln must die" and then I left gametap. I guess I can always buy the box now that they're out in hardcopy. I had almost forgotten about the series! Thanks for the reminder. (Short attention span - that's me) I've played treasure island - great game! I'll keep a look out for the other two games you mentioned. Thanks for all the great suggestions! mcc: would you like my copy of dark fall - the journal? I've tried giving it away but I think it's a curse it wants to stay with me. pm me if you want it. Another recent game I tried that I haven't finished is Scratches, but I plan to try it again. Maybe. In the day time. :|

Thanks Sally, as you can read in the post by Becky I cannot answer your offer here but if you post it in the right forum I will. Alternatively you could send me an email with the offer.

HI I just remembered the adventureshop at http://adventureshop.gamesplanet.com/EU/jeuxAll.htmlThe prices are in Euro, though. I agree with Agon: The lost sword of Toledo, but I think it would be nice for you if you played 'Agon - the mysterious codex first' as this is chapter one, while The Losdt sword os chapter two. Keepsake is good too, as is Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy. Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis is made by Frogwares and is very nice game in which Sherlock meets Arsene Lupin; it's just good ol' fun...and I don't think that there's much that go bump in the night in that game?

Actually, Adventureshop is not only in euro - there's 2 websites due to some rules from the publishers.
