Hi, can anyone help me? I have just fixed the camera in the tower and can leave the city to look for the eggs. However I can't seem to get the rail car to work again. The little dinosaur is out of the wheel and I have nothing to coax him in again. When I click on the car it zooms in. I can close the wheel door and then if i click again it zooms out. According to the walkthrough you can just use the rail car without having to do anything! Very fustrated.

Hi mini,

Did you go and tell Ocine the guard that the camera is repaired? This might be stopping you from leaving the city. wave

Several people have had the same question about that scene, so I would suggest you back away from the cart? (car) and see if you are at the other end of the line. It seems that the developers moved the car so fast you can't see it move. lol

I am now in the giants village. I cannot see how the "sounds" on the walkway pillars are in any way related to the posts around the hole in the ground in the spirit valley. Fair enough I can follow the walkthrougheasily enough but I want to understand how one comes to this conclusion without a walkthrough.

Also I can't seem to put the mastadon hairs in the water with the shells (empty and living).

Hi mini,

Apparently, the patterns are similar to the way researchers write down whale sounds. laugh

As for the mastodon hairs - I recall coming to a dead end at this exact point due to a glitch. I went back to a previous saved game and played through with no further problem. Are you close enough to a saved game that you can try that?

I have gotten to the geyser elevator, after solving the Ball Puzzle, have the white ball, but it will not go into the tube. I have gone back to see if I have forgotten anything. Can anyone assist me here?

Hi Gram32,

Did you check out the bookcase and read the memo about Antwerp Diamond Cutters?
Are you sure that you have the correct white ball?

Yes, I did the bookcase. I did not know that a wrong ball could go into inventory. How do I know it is the correct one?

Gram, it sounds like you will have to do the ball puzzle again. This has happened to several people. It's unfortunate that the game allows you to put an incorrect ball into inventory. It happened to me also. Try reworking it.

I did the ball puzzle a couple times, got a different ball each time, but guess the game is stuck in this spot. I'm not sure where to go from here, I still don't know if the correct ball is in inventory, do not know what to look for.

Gram, one WT that I read said, that if you get the right ball, it will say in inventory "unique ball, very hard to find". If it just says "white ball" that is not the correct one.

The WT at GameFaq gives one way to get the correct ball. The steps are
Click to reveal..
-----------
Ball Puzzle
-----------

Now this puzzle can of course be solved a number of different ways like a lot
of puzzles, but I find this way to be the easiest.

When using the scale, the following happens each time you click the middle of
the scale.

Click #1 - First weighing
Click #2 - Reset the scale
Click #3 - Second weighing
Click #4 - Reset the scale
Click #5 - Third Weighing
Click #6 - Cutscene that shows new set of balls being swapped in [puzzle
resets!]

So Once you've done your third weighing and you've found the right ball DON'T
click the scale or you'll reset the puzzle!

For all cases you start by putting balls 1-4 on the left and balls 5-8 on the
right, then weighing them.

=================================CASE 01: EVEN=================================

This means that balls 1-8 are normal balls and the one that's different is in
balls 9-12.

So leave ball 12 behind and put 9 & 10 on the left scale and 11 on the right
scale with ball 1 (one that we know is normal).

WEIGH THEM

A) If they're even once again, then the ball you want is the one that you left
out (12) and you're done!

B) If they're different then you need to make a note of which side is heavy and
which side is light. (eg: 9H, 10H, 11L | 12 you don't care about because you
know it's normal.)

Weigh the two similar balls against each other (one in each side) and leave the
third one out. [So in the example above the two similar balls are 9 and 10
because they were both on the heavy side, while 11 was the only ball on the
light side. Remember that 12 was a normal ball, it just happened to be on the
light side.]

1. If the two similar balls are equal, then the one that you left out (11) is
the one that you want.

2. If the two similar balls are different then have a look at what you
classified them as in the last step. If they were both H's (heavy) then the
heavy ball is the one you want, if they were both L's (light), then it's the
light ball that you want.

=================================CASE 01: EVEN=================================

=======================CASE 02: LEFT LIGHTER THAN RIGHT========================

This means that the unique ball is among balls 1-8, mark balls 1-4 as light
(eg: 1L, 2L, 3L, 4L) and balls 5-8 as heavy (eg: 5H, 6H, 7H, 8H).

Put 1L, 5H & 6H on the left side and 2L, 7H, 8H on the right side [as you leave
out 3L and 4L].

WEIGH THEM

1. If they balance then the unique ball is one of the two that you left out
[3L,4L]. Weigh either one of those against any other [normal] ball.

1A) If they're equal then the ball that you left out is the unique one.

1B) If they're different then the ball that you weighed against the normal ball
is the unique one.

2. If the left side remains light, then the unique ball is one of the
following: 1L, 7H, 8H. Now put 7H on one side and 8H on the other side and
weigh them.

2A) If they're equal then the ball that you left out is the unique one.

2B) If they're different, then the ball that's on the heavy side is the unique
one.

3. If the left side changes to heavy, then the unique ball is one of the
following: 5H, 6H, 2L. Now put 5H on one side and 6H on the other side and
weigh them.

3A) If they're equal then the ball that you left out is the unique one.

3B) If they're different, then the ball that's on the heavy side is the unique
one.

=======================CASE 02: LEFT LIGHTER THAN RIGHT========================

=======================CASE 03: RIGHT LIGHTER THAN LEFT========================

This means that the unique ball is among balls 1-8, mark balls 1-4 as light
(eg: 1H, 2H, 3H, 4H) and balls 5-8 as heavy (eg: 5L, 6L, 7L, 8L).

Put 5L, 1H & 2H on the left side and 6L, 3H, 4H on the right side [as you leave
out 7L and 8L].

WEIGH THEM

1. If they balance then the unique ball is one of the two that you left out
[7L,8L]. Weigh either one of those against any other [normal] ball.

1A) If they're equal then the ball that you left out is the unique one.

1B) If they're different then the ball that you weighed against the normal ball
is the unique one.

2. If the right side remains light, then the unique ball is one of the
following: 5L, 3H, 4H. Now put 3H on one side and 4H on the other side and
weigh them.

2A) If they're equal then the ball that you left out is the unique one.

2B) If they're different, then the ball that's on the heavy side is the unique
one.

3. If the left side changes to light, then the unique ball is one of the
following: 1H, 2H, 6L. Now put 1H on one side and 2H on the other side and
weigh them.

3A) If they're equal then the ball that you left out is the unique one.

3B) If they're different, then the ball that's on the heavy side is the unique
one.

=======================CASE 03: RIGHT LIGHTER THAN LEFT========================

--------
Snooping
--------

Once you've done three weighings and you think you've found the right ball,
click that ball and it should go into your inventory. Now MAKE SURE you don't
click the scale or you'll reset the puzzle. Instead click the arrow in the top
left to exit the puzzle. Now pass your cursor over the ball in your inventory.

If it just says "white ball" you messed up somewhere, but if it also says
"unique specimen very hard to find" you've got the right ball.

Once you have the right ball SAVE YOUR GAME so you never have to do this puzzle
again!

Hello again. I have gotten to the Valley of the Sprits and gave the matriach the globe of memory, it cuts out and Ariane says she wonders if she will remember it all. But, when I got gack to the ballon, there are no points to click on for Gustav to take her back to the city. Was there something I was supposed to do after the scene changes from the floating garden?

Hi Gram,

Did the matriarch give you a flute, and did you use this on the force field at the Valley of the Spirits? A message should have been left for you there, at the face on the stone. After reading this you should then be able to go back to Gustav and the balloon and return to the city. wave

thanks, I'll check it out. I remember the message and I'm sure I must have gotten the flute, as I have already been back to the city once in the ballon. The Matriarch did not give me the flute, the healer did, and at this point, there is not a force field when I enter the valley of the spirits, the floating garden just comes down after I walk through the arches. I'll try a couple things and get back to you. Thanks again

I'm trying to take the balloon back to the city. I discovered that when I leave the valley of the spirits and then go back, the same scene happens, the Matriarch is in the floating island and I converse with her and show her the ball of memory, and the scene cuts out and Ariane is left in the Valley alone. since this scene keeps happening, then I'm missing doing something. I can't say goodbye, since it cuts out automatically. Dose anyone have any ideas?

Gram, I believe you are supposed to give the ball of memory to the healer, not the Matriarch. Can you go back to a save prior to all this and play forward again so you don't have to go to the balloon more then the last time.

Hi guys Im a first timer here and I haven't been at Journey for too long. Would one of you out there be so kind as to tell me how in the name of Pete Im supposed to get through the crevasse in the rock wall right after our poor photographer is stranded? Ive done everything as best I remember that I was supposed to before trying to go into said crevasse. Ive gotten the bag and its contents, the computer, the lighter and everything else Im supposed to have. I tried to check on our poor ill fated pilot but our photographer never commented on it and when I tried to approach the plane a second time to that end, she remains silent. What am I missing?

Thanks

Tracy

Hi Tracy,
Did you unpack the bag and see the contents?
Did you get the first aid kit?
Did you get the helicopter blade?
