The Hardy Boys: The Hidden Theft -- Viewing New Environments Dreamcatcher has released new screenshots for the upcoming PC adventure: The Hardy Boys: The Hidden Theft. You can take a look at the screenshots here. Based on the beloved bestselling novels, the release of The Hardy Boys: The Hidden Theft marks a kind of popularity Frank and Joe have never seen before. The new Undercover Brothers series launched in 2005 has already sold more than 1 million copies, Tom Cruise and Ben Stiller are scheduled to star in a major motion picture based on the series next year, and now top celebrity teen talent Jesse McCartney and Cody Linley have stepped in to lend their voices and likenesses to the famous crime-solving duo for the game!
With The Hardy Boys: The Hidden Theft, fans of the series can experience the Hardy World in a whole new way: interactively. Explore the various places around Bayport including the Hardy home as you help Frank and Joe collect clues to find out who robbed Spencer Mansion. You’ll also be able to interact with Fenton and Laura Hardy, the Boys’ good friend Chet Morton, and if you’re in a bind, use your cell phone to call your good pal Nancy Drew to help get some insight on a case that becomes a major criminal investigation right before your eyes.
Brought to the interactive world by DreamCatcher Games and developer XPEC Entertainment, The Hardy Boys: The Hidden Theft will be in full distribution in mid-October 2008.

It appears not quite as polished as the Nancy Drew's but I am more than ready to give it a go. Thanks for the news and screenshots Becky! Ana

Definitely one for the wish list, hope it doesnt have any tile switching in-games which usually bring me to my knees in ND adventures;-)
have a wish list too long to mention (oops BAAGS flaring up again)but loved Rhiannon and Jack Keane, finding So Blonde a little TOO blonde.

Thanks Becky.....Hope the Hardy Boys will be a popular as the ND series. Looking forward to it. I thought the first release was going to be "The Tower Treasure". Is this the same game with a different title?

"The Tower Treasure" is also the original name of the first Hardy Boys book, I think. It's the ONE I don't have.
Even though the graphics don't look as good as the ND games, I hope this takes off. Boys need non-violent brainy games just as well as girls do! Thanks for the screenshots.

Killer -- it looks that way: ...if you’re in a bind, use your cell phone to call your good pal Nancy Drew to help get some insight on a case that becomes a major criminal investigation right before your eyes.

Hi Smilla -- as far as I now, this has no connection to HerInteractive.
Many of the newer games are experimenting (rightly, I think) with hint systems. Hint systems (well, the good ones anyway) make an adventure game accessible to a greater range of players, so it makes sense for developers to try to incorporate them into a new game.
