I'm stuck (no pun intended) trying to find the putty I'm supposed to use on the back of a statue. Can someone tell me where to look for the putty?

Ok, now I'm back at Loath's office, read the book again, underlined the eye symbol, Howard made his comment. I underlined the other WMT symbols and nothing happens. I did each one separately, and even tried all at once, but they do not appear in the think screen. I keep getting the comment about these appear to be symbols but Howard has no idea what to do with them. I went to the walkthrough and tried again, but nothing. What in the world am I doing wrong???

Oops, I went back and realized that when I loaded an earlier save, I forgot to go back and click on the maps again! Good grief--sorry, I should have realized that earlier. Thanks again for our help.

I'm stuck again. I'm under Braunbell's mansion, at the door that needs the blue peices of seal and the funny-looking metal turning thingy. I have all of that, have put the seal pieces in the door, inserted the turner, turned it to get the open hooked part where it should be (looked at the pictures in the walkthrough!) and the door doesn't open. If I back away, all the pieces return to inventory. I've tried moving the turner several times, going around and around to different position, but still the door remains shut. I'm obviously doing something wrong, but can't figure it out. Can anyone help me?? Oh, I do know how to spell Darkness--I just can't type, I guess.

Of the 3 seal pieces, have you placed the largest one to the right half of the indentation?

Once you've inserted the turnkey, ensure that it's turned 3 times so that the hooked end appears top right.
