I can't believe I'm stuck so early on. I am in the Rachett murder room and have all that inventory. I have had my talk with Poirot (many repetetives, poor man). I must go over the same area again ...again forever. I can't get away from those 2 rooms. I have been to the baggge car but the conducter locked the restaurant door when we came out. stuck stuck stuck with only the doctor and Poirot. HELP

Hi Doris,

Make sure that you have examined the body thoroughly, and collected all items possible in Ratchett's room.
Examine Ratchett's suitcase.
Examine Ratchett's coat and hat.
Ensure that you examine all objects thoroughly in inventory with the magnifying lens, as some items may carry clues.
Talk again to Constantine and Poirot.

luck

Well, I can do it all over again and I will. But Dr Constantine is starting to tell me I am weird for trying to look at the body so often. And neither he nor Poirot will say anything other than repeating their last phrase to me. Everything I click on in the murder room tells me I have learned all I can from there. And I can't get away from those two rooms. I've looked at the walkthru and can't see what I've missed. Thanks for any help.

If you've checked against the walkthrough and examined all areas and have all items mentioned in your inventory, then my guess is that you've somehow missed scrutinising an inventory item with your magnifying lens. This is a contained area of the game, so hopefully re-checking will bring something new to light and enable you to progress.

Let us know how you get on, and luck

I'm at the train tracks trying to fix the leak of the steam heat.
I've combined all that I can think of. So I go to Poirot and ask for help. He keeps saying that if he helps me he wins. I'm thinking that's ok.....but he just keeps saying that.In the challenge it says that Poirot has helped me with the heat. I deny that. But in the insructions he says I must restore heat. Would he lie? lol I have big gloves, snow shoes, big pliars, copper wire, hammer, nails ... h e l p

Hi Doris,

Have you managed to locate a substitute length of pipe?

Doris,

Go back to the hut in the woods. Take the stove pipe from thes tove using a wrench. That is your replacement pipe for the broken steam pipe. luck
