HI Gang...

I am at the marble puzzle on the top of the coffee table in the parlor of the Bonet mansion. I can see how the first marble needs to travel to shut down the lazer (senior mode) but how do you get the light colored square around to the right of a marble, when the laser is in the way? I can't figure out how to get the "shooter" positioned to ricochet the marble properly.

Hi Witchen,

That light coloured square is great for using as a blockade to stop a marble rolling too far. Once one marble is in a strategic position over to the left, you can then hit other marbles off it and towards the lasers - making sure that you move the square to the lasers first as a barrier, again to avoid losing your marbles (no pun intended). By gradually doing this and shuffling the square little by little over to the right and upwards, you should eventually manage to block off all the lasers at their source.

Does that make any kind of sense? I think I need a flipchart and marker pens.

Hi Rushes... Aha! So, its refraining from losing the marbles is it? LOL I have already gone a long way toward that in trying to solve this nasty puzzle.

I do understand what you are telling me, however. The point about stopping the marble before it rolls too far is the catalyst, I think. Or, then again, maybe I have lost my marbles....

Okay, I solved the marble puzzle...Whew!! Now, I'm stuck trying to figure out what the preliminary requirement is to solve the portrait puzzle in the parlor?

I have a slip of paper with a code that looks like the order the articles in the portraits should be in, but the puzzle is not activated. What do I need to do first? I hope its not getting that brass key from that incredibly ugly and vicious spider! I'm just wandering around accomplishing nothing.
