If you still see a brown circle, then that location isn't done. Sometimes means need to do an inventory item there like a letter.

Never resist a generous impulse.

I am stuck at the string puzzle. Some time ago, I sent a PM to Looneylabs requesting a saved game solution but was told my profile didn't include an e-mail adress. I've updated my profile, can someone please help me out?

Dumas, I am at work right now but I can send it later if you still need it.

Skeeter, do you have any puzzle pieces lit up on the bottom of your inventory on the right?

haven't posted in a couple years. forgot you guys rocked so. please please i have been on sherlock holmes, persian carpet, red box puzzle, level 5. when i say i have been working this puzzle i kid you not. i always have a couple of games going at once. i have been staying away from this because for weeks i had tried to move past this little red box and its almost ruined an other wise enjoyable game. when you have so much time invested in one game its a heart breaker to quit before the game is over. i hope i'm posting in the right spot. sharon

I have been playing the game for a couple of weeks and really enjoying it; many thanks to those who have posted solutions & tips. Like everyone I have been pulling my hair out at Level 5, but I think I have an odd problem! I have been able to get past the red code box & tangled threads - eventually!, but I am always running out of time before I can complete the level. I am really struggling with the "squares" puzzle - very frustrating, as when I have played squares on other games (like Azada), I have found it easy & enjoyable, but in this game I am struggling to see properly what I am doing (I find the lines of the squares difficult to see against the board - think I need new glasses), Can I please have a save for this level, as I have been trying to complete it for a while & it seems a shame to give up.

Many thanks MJ

welcome to GameBoomers TiggerMJ

Tigger, when and where did you download this from? The version currently available has a relaxed mode with no timer.

Someone should be sending you a save shortly, if by chance not, I will do it when I get off work.

Many thanks for replying so quickly Ana - much appreciated. Not sure when I downloaded it, but it was from BigFish Games. I know I downloaded it a while ago, but had a few family things, so only really able to start playing a while ago - I played the trial ages ago, then bought the game, I had heard about the timer free version, & I contacted BFG, but not heard anything back yet.

Many thanks

MJ

I am not positive if you lose your progress or not, but if you download the version out there now, you will have a timer free game. That is all the BF would tell you to do anyways.

welcome tiggermj,

The last save I have for this level is after the string puzzle. If that will help, it's on the way.
