This game is a real gem up to Chapter 5. I think it is really worth playing and I can forgive the makers if they mess up the ending - they can make things right by making me a better sequel. For Fellow gamers who have played this game and loved it - I hope you love the easter eggs below as well.
MAJOR EASTER EGG: When you finally get a chance to control Jo in Heathrow airport, pay really close attention to the background ambient soundtrack. The makers of the game recorded a sound sample from my country, Singapore's underground train station.
In Singapore, our train network system is known as Mass Rapid Transit or MRT for short. In other countries, such a transport system could be called Subway or Underground or Metro.
Anyway, the makers recorded a pre-recorded announcement that is played in one of our train stations in four languages. The first language used is English, so the makers muffled it with a sound of a plane taking off and you would not be able to hear clearly. If you understand Chinese, the second announcer is telling commuters that, in translation:
"The next stop is an interchange station. Passengers who wish to go to stations like Orchard and Yishun, please cross over the platform and take the north bound train."
The next two languages used are Malay and Tamil. This 4-language announcement is made in every single train that passes that station everyday. If you listen closely to the game sountrack you can also hear that the makers have also recorded a sound of an underground train moving through a tunnel.
Imagine what a surprise it would be for Singaporean gamers who play this game and get to this point! If there are boomers here who have visited Singapore at some point, you will recognise Orchard road as one of Singapore's popular tourist shopping areas.
Egg No. 2 (a smaller one)
In Chapter 5 you can also bring Jo to the library. After what Kat did to the annoying librarian in Chapter 3, he is really edgy when Jo visits. You can torment the librarian as payback by getting Jo to say certain things to him.
Egg No. 3
In chapter 2, when controlling Jo around Robert's place, discover that our dear boy hates getting his hands dirty. If you make him search through or look at rubbish bins, rubbsh heaps and a dirty puddle he will complain a lot. Force him to deal with a certain rubbish heap a few times and you will make him kick it to expose an unopened bottle of red wine. Later, Jo will meet a tramp whom he tries to bribe with a fake wine that Jo created from inventory items (so you can let Jo keep the real one for himself). This tramp will comment that he needs to hide the wine somewhere. Hence we can guess that the original bottle was hidden by that same tramp and you have simply discovered his hiding place. I have not tried giving the tramp the real bottle of wine but feel free to try it and see.
