Downloaded the trial version and played just fine on my XP.
Found it to be very enjoyable and fun.

The graphics are very well done as well as the narrators voices.
Storyline is also very interesting and kept my attention as well as bonus games that are similar to hidden object. I only made it to one before my time ran out.
On the match 3 it took a few times to get the hang of where/how to make switches.

Enjoyed the Monkey as well as the Scarab which was fun to watch.

I liked the music, though some may find it a bit tedious after awhile, I really didn't; I was to focused on what I was doing.

Prior to each temple there are written tips that I recommend reading and apparantly at the end of the game there is a prize.

There is also rankings which I did progress up to Aspiring Camel Trader. lol

I'm not that good a reviewer, but on the whole I would certainly rate this an A, that is if I'm allowed to give it a rating.

Thank you Ana, but there's always something forgotten and that is the timer. I didn't check to see if it could be disabled or not, but may still have some time on the game and if so will check.
It isn't not a fast timer and only lost when I was trying to find hidden egyptian graphics, but you have the option of restarting or skipping.
Could find no option for relaxed mode, but felt the timer gave plenty of time to complete the levels.

That is definitely a feature I wish they'd get the hint on and allow it to be timed or relaxed. There's enough pressure in life.

Sorry, haven't had a chance to get back here. Yes, I was part of the beta test team, and now I've purchased it from BFG. I've been playing the full version off and on for a couple of days. I love this game, it is the best Match 3 game to come along in ages. The graphics are awesome, the voiceovers are awesome, the puzzles are awesome.....the game overall is just AWESOME!

I really like how the puzzle play is different in each temple. Considering the size of the game, this will keep it interesting. I'm finding a couple of them a bit difficult, but that is good. These types of games should be challenging without being ridiculously hard.

I hope you are enjoying it also, as well as everyone else here who has downloaded it. The developers put alot of hard work into this game and it shows.

I love both new ones advertised. Have played all morning.

This is a great game and I am enjoying it very much. I think it would appeal to more people if there were an option to play without the timer. It would be great if you could turn the timer option off within any level by going to the menu and switching to the timer off mode.

I believe another game did this recently. I think it was Sherlock Holmes the Mystery of the Persian Carpet. After the game was released so many people disliked the timed mode that the game developer (Frogwares) created a patch for the game. You could switch the timer off at any time during the game.

I think most people who have commented on Gamezebo would like to play the game in the higher levels without the timer. I don’t want to get frustrated and not enjoy playing it or stop playing it all together and feel that money has been wasted. I think many more people would recommend the game to their friends if they are having more fun and less frustration.

This is just my opinion. Maybe some other players will comment on this also.

I couldn't agree more Lizzie, except the best way to get through to them is to write the Developers and let them know. Posting helps get it off your chest, but is not very effective to get the changes we want.

Frogwares is a Developer that frequents this site because they are a Developer of Adventure games. They are also a very customer based company and listen. It was quite a treat to have them change the game to make us happy.

Not even BigFish would change the timer on Azada and others and they frequent here as well. Sometimes it just doesn't matter.

Excellent! I am glad to hear you sent one. Almost everyone here would be happy if the timers had an option per past threads. Even if you like them, doesn't always mean you are in the mood for them. I know that after rushing around at work all day the last thing I want to do is fel pressure playing a timed game.

Help!

I am having the hardest time with level 12 the Temple of Thot.
You have a certain amount of each color, and you need to place them stategically so that all will be used to light up the board.

I can't figure out the configuration at all on this one. Anybody have any clues for this one?

Edit: Guaranteed, if you can't figure something out, post your problem and nine times out of ten, you will find the way on your next try. Got it!

Codeminion has announced over on Gamezebo that they will be releasing an updated version of this game with the option to turn the timer off and the Thot temple puzzles will be slightly less difficult. They are saying that is will be released on the Codeminion site today but we don't know how soon Big Fish will have the new version. I have sent an email to Big Fish to check on it. So if we can't get it from Big Fish today as least we know we can get it soon.

Here's what the developer said at Gamezebo, I copied and pasted some of what he said. Let me add that those guys at Codeminion are a class act. They respond quickly and they really care about what the players think and want. Version 1.14 thread at GZ You may want to read it since a few people had a few issues with it.

Hiya everybody! Here it is - the new update for Saqqarah!

Here's the list of changes:
- Added the option to play in Relax Mode with no time pressure (to enable create a new profile).
- Made Thot's puzzles a bit easier and less scrambled on higher levels.
- Added the option to disable hints in several gameplays as well as in bonus rounds.
- Some minor bugs and level balance issues were addressed.

People who bought it from us can download and start playing the new version right away. Your progress will carry on and your registration key will still work.
Those of you who got the game from BigFish will have to wait a bit. We've sent the new version to them, but I don't know when they will make it available. I'll let you know when I'll learn something.

To access the relaxed mode, you have to create a new profile. On the window where you put in your name there's a checkbox asking if you would like to play relaxed mode. Hope it helps.

Looks like if you want the timer off you're going to have to start over. Well I know I can't do Thot with the timer, unless I work real hard at it. But it does get discouraging when you almost have it and the timer goes, and you can't remember what you did, and the colours are changed.

I'll have to think about this one. I really don't want to lose my progress, when that happens I tend to lose interest in the game. I didn't necessarily want the challenge of hard puzzles gone, just to be given the time to do them.

I'll be very glad that I can turn off the timer. I can do 4 of the temples to the highest difficulty, but for the next three . I think that I have some kinda brain misfunction when it comes to directional (rotating) or seeing where colors go. I don't mind doing these temples, but there's no way I'll be able to do the higher levels within a certain period of time. I really like this game because of the different ways you can play it. It's like having 7 games in one.

It's great that the company is giving folks a choice now.

Margie- If I read your post correctly, a patch is available at Big Fish. How do I go about finding it on Big Fish so that it can be installed? Thanks for your help!
