I just started playing this game and wondering whether or not anyone might have a save for getting the note behind the picture at the beginning. I keep getting stuck there. I listen to the story about Carfax and then nothing. I don't get a cursor or anything to retrieve the note behind the picture. So I thought well maybe I don't need the note and played all the way until I needed the note with no issues then went back thinking maybe I can get it now, still nothing. I don't know if I will have any further issues with the game further in, but right now I can't even move without getting the note. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sly, Try here. I think there might be one close to where you are located now.

I have one I will send you, along with a description of where it is in the game. Use it if you want or delete. EDIT:Save has been sent.
I didn't do it......and if I did I'm not guilty!

Hi Sly One,
I peeked at the walkthrough too. I think that X1 means move forward just one click after turning right. Then look to your right - can you see a rope there?

I will send you another save and note showing where it is. You might need one just past that, though. If so, let me know. EDIT:Canceled sending the save. See if the following helps...... You will be given a key to acces the sewers. When this part of the game is finished you will go back into the room you had come from and go forward to the door to the outside. Do not go through this door but, instead, make a left and go to the corner and make another left and proceed ahead one click to the door. Use the key just given to you to unlock the door to the 2nd sewer. Proceed through the door ahead. You are again in a set of sewer tunnels. Once through the door go down the tunnel one click and turn right to see another tunnel. One click in this direction look to the wall on your right and pick up the rope hanging there.

I only remembe vague parts of this game although I'm sure I finished it. I have some saves marked as to where they appear in the game and some I can only say are in a certain area of the game according to what notes I made as I played. If you get stuck and need a save and if you can unzip them I could send several at one time in zipped form......or individually, if necessary. I recall it as a somewhat complicated game but one I couldn't stop til I finiahed.
