I found that I had a lot of problems w/ both Agon games (1-3, and 4) until I got around either a redundant Spyware program (later removed), and my anti-virus program (it allowed me to create an "exception"). I don't know what it is with Private Moon's games, but so far it's 2 for 2. I've now gotten past the kaleidoscope (hurray, and many thanks MaG for the revised walkthrough on this part). I haven't encountered any further problems - so far. I'm now using AVG 8.0 (paid subscription), but I've had to temporarily disable parts UNTIL I got the game thoroughly installed. There's a lot of redundancy in so many of the security programs, so I'm thinking it is something you have to be aware of, or go nuts in the process. I found the same problem w/ Keepsake, BTW.
Anyway, it's my 2 cents - for what it's worth.
