I can't get to the ladder behind the lighthouse. I see it but the game won't give. What up? Please help!

have you walked all the way round right up to the ladder> your cursor should change to pointing down. This is the ladder to go down to the cave right?

The trigger for the ladder is if you have examined the map that is seen in the secret drawer in the bedroom up in the lighthouse. That map will show that there is a path below and behind the lighthouse that is accessible by the ladder. If you did not examine the map, the ladder is inactive.

Here I go,stuck again. Can't find the bathrooms in the lighthouse. Please anyone I'm getting dizzy!

If you can find the picnic area - turn around from there and face the path.
You will see that at one point it will split into 3.
Ahead is back to the other side, to the left is the pier area and to the right up a hill is the toilet area.
