I am replaying Keepsake for a second time, and I like it a great deal. However, I have replayed at least once most of the games I already have and want a new challenge. Looking for suggestions on new (to me) adventure games that I might enjoy.
I am fairly open except: I don't like timed puzzles (unless the timing is very generous or optional!) I have some nerve damage hearing loss and am tone deaf: so can't do anything that requires matching tones/sounds perfectly. I don't want anything that would require me to do combat/fight - but I guess most of those would be considered dark side.
I like really engaging, interesting characters and story lines. I am into sci fi, crime dramas and mystery. I also like historical settings and things based on famous books. I am fascinated by ancient cultures like Rome and Egypt.
If it helps to give examples - I really really really enjoyed: The Journeyman Trilogy (they are my absolute favorites!) The Watchmaker (I know - I can hear some groans, but I really did like it. Would honestly love to see further adventures with Victoria and Darrel!) Black Mirror Journey to The Center of The Earth
Any suggestions as to what I might want to check out/invest in would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi kiraalt, Dracula: Origin is a fantastic game, I think you might enjoy that very much. Have you played Culpa Innata? Another one of my recent favourites. Dialogue heavy, great story, no timed sequences or sound puzzles.

I agree - you'll love Syberia I. (I have yet to play the sequel). The puzzles are not headache-inducing, they are simple compared to many other games and so are very enjoyable to me. You will also empathise with the main character and enjoy the cutscenes, the story and the graphics. This game is No. 1(!!!) on the Gameboomer's List! Belief and Betrayal and Dracula: Origin - definitely! Both are very new games. For Belief and Betrayal you have to shut your eyes when one of the cutscenes is playing - it ruins the feel of the whole game. Belief has received mixed reviews but I love it! Playing Dracula Origin is like watching a movie that is a grand remake of a classic. You would definitely want to watch Coppola's Dracula and Interview with a Vampire after playing this game. Beware though - if horror is not a genre to your taste. Lost Crown - MaG's walkthrough is 47 pages long. That tells a bit about the game's depth, doesn't it? Lost Crown is also one of the most highly voted games by Gameboomers (#7 on the List).

I loved Syberia I and II. If you haven't played them you might want to try them. Joy

kiraalt I to loved Watchmaker! You might like to try some of the first Tomb Raider series. Lots of adventure exploring in ancient archaeological sites in Egypt etc. Lots of fun.
