Can someone please help me? I'm stuck at catalog machine after deciphering cuneiform. I decoded and got message as stated in walkthrough but when I type in catalog machine it does not give me location of books. It does not tell me to think again but does not display location of books. Did I miss something? I checked back through walkthrough and don't think I missed anything previously. Help please I'm frustrated!

Hi Rex,

Are you entering "sea rocks forest" as one sentence?

Did Holmes comment when you completed deciphering the cuneiform?

Rushes, yes I have entered sea rocks forest multiple times and hit handle catalog rotates but does not give location of books. Holms does not answer need to think again so I think I am not wrong. Do not remember holmes commenting after deciphering the cuneiform. I have rechecked decoded cuneiform and it matches the walkthrough. I redid this so many times don't really remember holmes commenting or not. Do I need to clear and redo the cuneiform or go back to previous save and rework? I hope not cause my last save was just entering the museum for first time (sigh)

If you are looking at MaG's walkthrough screenshot: Did you switch over the last cuneiform letter - the Y? The walkthrough picture is complete except for the Y of "your" as an example of how to solve the puzzle.

It seems that a letter or two of the cuneiform must be incorrect, otherwise the card catalogue would accept sea rocks forest.

Rushes, thanks for trying to help! Yes I did the "y" for your. I'm pretty sure I have decoded properly. Apparently I still must have something wrong. I doubt it is a glitch cause no one else has mentioned an error. I thought maybe I missed something earlier that didn't catch me until now but I went back through walkthrough and don't think I missed anything. Not sure where I could have errored.

Rushes, Thanks to you I found my error!! Almost embarrassed to admit what was wrong. I did not decode all the "T's" because they already looked like T's in the cuneiform. When I studied the cuneiform again (with my glasses) I realized what was wrong! DUH!!! I feel so dumb! Sorry I hit the panic button and wasted your time. I appreciate your patience and willing to help thanks again. This one is tough and I would be lost without the walkthrough to peak at from time to time

Rex,

Can you check the document and see if there's a comment by Holmes about the result of the cuneiform puzzle. If there is no comment, the puzzle is not done correctly.

I just saw your other post (that I combined with your other posting).
Glad that you saw what was wrong! bravo Enjoy the rest of the game.
