Am I alone in wondering why the A is laying down and the others aren't?

I hadn't noticed that. Artistic reasons? Sense of chaos, falling down? Wanting to put the "Q" on top -- questioning something? Wanting to tone down the "A" in Agatha right above it? They put the "the" in a pool of blood.

I believe ABC Murders referes to the ABC Railway Guide book that used to be used in Britain for train scheduling. You know how Agatha loves train murders grin The original novel was excellant as was the movie.

Is this new Agatha Christi game made by the same company that did the first two pc games?

I have the movie DVD, rented from Netflix. I'll watch it tonight. I've read the book and I think I remember the ending. I wonder how the game will change it.

I've been wondering what that thing under the blocks is too. A sheepskin? Sawdust? Straw?

My daughter weighing in on the question -- a thick rug. The texture actually stands up and obscures a bit of the blue line of the "A" block, so it probably isn't something flat like paper. Though if it's a rug, I wonder how they stopped the blood from soaking into the pile.

I think you are right Becky, some sort of rug, with plastic blood drops.
Hope Butcher is not having us on!!

I may have some disappointing news, according to a moderator at the official Agatha Christie website:

"The official reply is that this is incorrect and there are no plans to release this title as a game in the foreseeable future.

I don't have any game update news at present."

Oh no !!! I was really looking forward to this - its the first thing I saw on Beckys original thread. Please plea with The Adventure Company to release it or there will be a very disappointed UK blonde.

JennyP -- at the moment, The ABC Murders is Dreamcatcher's third best-selling game on Amazon, and it's only in preorder status. If the game doesn't release, there will be a very disappointed UK blonde and a whole bunch of other disappointed people.

I think the likelihood of the game releasing at some point is good. While I wouldn't bet the ranch, I probably would bet the barn and a couple of acres around it. laugh

Amazon and AllGame.com have an October 20, 2008 release date for the game. Also on the box art, the black bars on the top and bottom are a departure from the previous boxes. Adventure Company games haven’t had these yet. It could be that The Adventure Company is now moving to those DVD type plastic cases. confused

Official word from Byron Gaum of Dreamcatcher on another GameBoomers thread:
Quote:
Hi Everyone! Thanks for your interest in The ABC Murders. The game is currently in development, but the release timing is yet to be determined. Stay tuned!

Okay, NOW I'll bet the ranch. laugh
