I've got the same problem, as people in this gameboomers glitches thread and many others all over the internet. And I've managed to find a solution!

So, if you got error "Unable to load the frame called 'intro2'. Verify that the 'Initial Frame' exists and that 'Go to another frame' option in the Hotspot Properties is linked to an existing frame. Automation error. Unspecified error"

All you have to do is download the *.dll file I've taken from the working spanish release called ICCVID.DLL. It's Cinepak Codec from 1995!

Here is a mediafire download link to file I've put in web. It's clean and virus free.

After that just put the file into %WINDIR%\system32\

or

%ProgramFiles%\Aurora The Secret Within\

I posted about this game a few days ago, after a lot of digging around by Jenny100, my problem seems to be linked to Internet Explorer and a piece of software called System Mechanic altering the security aspect within Internet Explorer, now that I have read this thread, part of the installation process on the game disc is related to codex files and componets, this option comes up after game installation, I am now thinking that this option is my problem, any thoughts folks

That could be the problem. If a game asks to install codecs when you install, you should do it.

I have installed it, but still get the error, what I havent done is try the game without installing them, also just had a reply from BluMai.com pointing me to another gaming site to download another patch (which is for Vista)I dont think there is anyone there that really understands English, anyway will try the game without the codecs install, will post results

Finally got the game to run, I installed the game initially but got an error saying install error windows will have to close, went to the original patch I got from BluMai.com, installed that, it asked for Codec install, I unticked the box, got the same error message, so went to site advised in the email from them, downloaded the Vista patch and tried it, you can guess from my opening it worked!!!!, many thank to everybody especially you Jenny100 for your patience, you deserve a medal for your efforts

Back again (sorry) I have got to the cellar point in the game where I have to insert fuse click button under green light and jump into the cart, when I click onto the cart the game freezes and I get Error Description: Unable to load the frame called 'filmato caduta' varify that the initial frame exists and the 'go to another frame' option in the hotspot properties is linked to an existing frame. automation error, unspecified error, then I hear a scream from the game characture. my Italian is rubbish so I dont know what to look for in the programme files, anybody help, I think it could be related to the Codec thing I had earlier

Did you install with an antivirus or software firewall running? Those might have caused some part of the game not to be installed properly. Also with Vista or XP SP2 or SP3 you often need to install from an account with Administrator privileges and install in My Documents instead of Program Files.

"Verify that the initial frame exists" sounds like part of the game may be missing -- or misconfigured.

I suppose that it could be related to codecs (which encode and decode compressed video), but I really don't know. I don't have any programming skills.

Thanks for that, what I will do is go over to Game Hints and Help to see if I can get a safe straight after the cart ride, at least I may be able to finish the game that way

Help! I've just installed the game & get the 'intro 2' error message. I have a disc version of the game & am playing on XP. The missing file I need is no longer available from the earlier Media Fire link posted - where else can I download this file from please?

The closest thing I can find to the version mentioned by Fifth_race is on this page
