I'm trying to figure out how Big Fish's game club works. I see this description: Jumbo Pack: 12 Game Credit Minimum ($6.99 per Game Credit.) When you sign up for this option, you will be charged $6.99 each month on your credit card until you cancel. Does this mean I'll be charged $6.99 a month whether I choose a game that month or not? Say I buy 5 games the first month. Is each game $6.99 or is only one of them $6.99 and the rest normal price? Am I charged $6.99 per month in addition to what I pay for any games? Or is it $6.99 per game for a total of 5x6.99= $34.95 for that first month? If it is $34.95 for the first month, am I charged another $6.99 per month for the rest of the year even if I don't buy any more games for the next 8 months? Should I plan on distributing my purchases to one per month, or allow credits to accumulate before buying? Do I need to have a credit before I can get a game for $6.99? If I buy 12 games in the first 6 months, and nothing for the rest of the year, do I end up 1. paying 12 x 6.99 = $83.88 total for 12 games or 2. paying 12x6.99 + 6x6.99 = $125.82 for 12 games and having 6 unused credits for the 6 months I didn't buy a game. For some reason I am finding the system very complicated.

I have a smaller subscription with them. (2 games - $9.99) This is my understanding (and hope if I am wrong those more knowledgeable will correct me) What the 12 games means is that you must buy 12 game credits within your committment period. After that you could cancel if you choose to. Yes, you will continue to be charged each and every month, whether you use the game credit and buy a game that month or not, even if you have met your subscription minimum required. Your card will continue to be charged until you actually cancel your subscription.

Hey Jenny, here's some more clarification from the big fish himself. If you sign up for a 12 month/12 game membership, your obligation is to pay for 12 games in 1 year. Additional credits cost the same ($6.99). You'll automatically be charged for 1 credit per month but you can cancel anytime after you purchase 12 games. At first I thought hmm... 1 game a month? That seems like a lot. I joined in January of this year and I think I have purchased over 50 games... Does this help?

So of these two If I buy 12 games in the first 6 months, and nothing for the rest of the year, do I end up 1. paying 12 x 6.99 = $83.88 total for 12 games or 2. paying 12x6.99 + 6x6.99 = $125.82 for 12 games and having 6 unused credits for the 6 months I didn't buy a game.
it would be #2. whereas if I bought only one game per month, or waited until the last month before buying any games, it would have been #1. But from your link, it appears that I could buy 12 games for $6.99 each the first month and then cancel because they would already be charged. Is that correct?

You are correct Jenny, except that you can cancel after your forst 12 and not pay any more charges and reinstate with no penalties at any time. You have to purchase games in the 12 months in order to cancel, not just credits. That is an important thing to remember too. EDIT: Correction, you do NOT have to use all the credits before cancelling. Ana

misa, we had a member that tried to cancel once and had to fulfil her obligation to buy 12 "games", not credits. She had to redeem the 12 credits before they would cancel the account. After your minimum commitment, you can buy as many credits as you wish and they will not expire, nor do you have to use them before you can cancel. Ana

Okay they did change it because this is what I found here and there's no longer a mention of having to redeem credits: **NOTE: Per our Terms of Use you will be required to fulfill your minimum Game Club credit commitment prior to cancellation. Your game commitment is based on the package you signed up for. If you have not met your minimum commitment, you will be directed to your shopping cart to purchase the remaining credits. Once the transaction is completed your account will be cancelled. If you have fulfilled your minimum commitment you will be directed to the cancellation page. Game Club credits are not refundable. Any unused credits will remain available to in your account as they do not expire.
Your minimum commitment depends on the membership pack:
* Casual Pack: 2 Game Credits ($9.99 each) * Super Pack: 6 Game Credits ($7.99 each) * Jumbo Pack: 12 Game Credits ($6.99 each) So I suppose my original comments stand, but I already edited them out.

That is what I stated here: I was trying to find the old post with no luck, but it looks like the verbage on BigFish has changed and it now states in order to cancel you must buy 12 credits, not 12 games. Perhaps their policy changed. Ana I agree that they have changed, just showed the old thread to explain why I stated it was different before. Ana

The policy has not changed, it has always been 12 "credits", the terms were restated to clarify and avoid confusion between the word "games" and the word "credits". There has never been a requirement to redeem credits to be able to cancel. Three Jumbo membership examplesExample 1: Sign up and in first month buy 12 credits, you can cancel. Example 2: Sign up and in the first month buy 12 games (you will be charged the same for the games as for the credits), you can cancel. Example 3: Sign up but never do anything. Your credits will accumulate at a rate of 1 per month for 12 months and at month 12 you can cancel. - With all three examples it costs you exactly $83.88
- With all 3 examples, you can use the credits whenever you want there are no time requirements or restrictions.
- With all 3 examples, you can "reactivate" at any time after you cancel to get additional games at the same low Game Club price with no ongoing commitment so you can also then cancel again any time you want.
If you go 12 months as a member without canceling though, you may get a plush Felix the big fish as a "thank you". (Shhh...don't tell anyone but they are still on the way) Who knows what we will do on people's two year GC member anniversaries???)

maggie, you need to look in your game club history. All the info is there, just count how many credits are listed. Ana

I have a question. How can anyone join BFG and limit themselves to just one game a month? My monthly credit lasts about 10 minutes before I redeem it (sometimes only 10 seconds if I have a demo waiting to be activated.) I can't wait another month for another credit, so I just buy the new games as they are released and let the credits fall where they may.
The Big Fish Club is such a bargain. Where else can you find such neat games for only $6.99 each? I love the instant gratification of downloading a demo, then with the click of a button it's MINE. This incredible deal is really dangerous for a gaming addict such as yours truly.

Hey misa Maybe by the end of our first year membership we'll have bought enough games to qualify for our own desk at BFG HQ!

Oh I hope that I am one to get a "Felix"! My year was completed in April, my grandson would love it when we play matching tiles in the Dragon game he loves (Liongg). Thanks BFG-guy for such a great site, online games, and gameclub! Koalanut

Ana- I have just looked at my history, it just shows the games and dates I bought them, not if a game credit was used or not or how many I had or have, nothing like that. Thanks maggie

Maggie, Mine is all there, I think you are looking at the wrong place. BigFish main page, just under the Tomorrows game it says My Game Club. Click on that. All your credits, games purchased and how many credits left is there. Ana
