I have to place a vase in the glass case to stop the security system's lamp blinking. I take it, the puzzle is random, right? I tried all three vases in turn - empty, half loaded and fully loaded each. But the lamp is still blinking! Shall I try on or is it a bug?

Yes, the puzzle is random. Your procedure sounds fine. Are you close enough to a saved game that you can go back and replay this section, to see if that unsticks you?

Hi, Rushes! I talked to the porter and I replayed since my last save. Nothing happened. What vase hit the point in your game?

I had jammy luck - I selected the middle vase empty, and got it right first time.

And your alarm is still flashing red and making noise, whichever vase/fill you choose?

I also used the middle vase (empty) and it worked.

Hi, Boomers! I'm over with the vases! I took the left one and being a bit desperate, decided to put it empty as it was. That trick worked! The strangest thing about it was that I tried this very vase in all variants for several times. Why didnt' it work from the start - I can't get. Is it what they call "random"?

Oranger, That's is a possibility with this game, since I tried several sequences also. Not to give away anything in the game but you do have to use the vases again in another instance later in the game but in a different manner.
