I finished this game but don't understand the ending. How could Dracula still be alive after getting hit by a crossbow ? I just don't get it. maybe someone can enlighten me. Jen

Tsavorite... the name of the game is Dracula "Origin". He can't die, it is the beginning of the Dracula saga.

At the beginning of the game, Van Helsing lists the items that will affect or slow down a vampire. For instance, garlic, lack of a reflection in the mirror, silver bullets. Then he lists the three items that have been found to actually kill a vampire. I believe those were the wooden stake through the heart, holy water and the crucifix.
Since the arrow was made of silver, it was able to (apparently) to briefly stop Dracula and pull him out of an earthly influence long enough to destroy his hold over Mina. But it wasn't enough to kill him or to prevent him from returning. Taurnil -- the game convinced me that Dracula was thoroughly ruthless, self-absorbed, manipulative, and that he enjoyed abusing others (in some cases for centuries). Somehow, despite all that, he is still physically attractive.

@Becky
I always believed that women were attracted to Dracula although they never admitted. Glad that you are the first!

I have to admit I am somewhat confused about Dracula/Origin and where it "fits" in the 3 game Dracula series - yes I know everyone says it doesn't, but then why is Mina talked about? and Jonathon? They are the 2 main characters in Dracula Resurrection, The Last Sanctuary and I assume in Dracula Path of the Dragon. And it would appear that Origin leaves the door open for another game, someone trying to save the Countess who has been bitten and is 'changing'. Am I wrong? Love, Betty Lou

BL, the game is not part of the series and is made by another developer entirely. If you ever read Bram Stokers Dracula, you would see that Mina and Jonathon are the characters from his book. They are a part of the original Dracula that the games are based on. Ana

Also, on Moonlight-- that tv show about vampires-- talks about and shows that the stake thru the heart will paralyze them until the stake is removed.

I thought the game was very well done, would not have wanted it any more blood thirsty than it was. I agree. I had a lot of fun playing it.

I loved this game, except for the fact that the ending came too soon. I definitely think one should have spent a bit more time in Transylvannia, and especially in Dracula's castle.

I don't remember this part exactly but I think that when we are in the crypt we destroy Dracula's coffin because if it is left he will be able to come back In the Manor however there was a coffin left, maybe this is the way he came to live again
