The installation of the saved game is picky. So follow the directions carefully. On the way.

Just wanted to let you know--I (somehow) got the lights to get to the eye--trial (lots of it) and error (even more). I got as far in your instructions for the saved game to the program files, Mysterious Journey, and Save, but I don't have a Player folder. All I have is ScreenSave.dtx. Anyway, I made it, but thought I'd let you know about the Player folder thing. Don't know what that means--the game is working just fine. I have Vista, if that means anything. Thanks again for your time. ------- I'm back. This is going to be a game where if I can even follow the walkthrough, it'll be a miracle! I'm at the path blocked by the fans. I've set bars 1-7 per instructions, but when I go to the console, it only moves one fan at a time, not all 7. I've done this several times, starting over from a saved game. It doesn't seem to matter which number I use first--I've tried them all. What in the world am I doing wrong this time???

It simply doesn't work. I've even tried to go straight to the 8-16 bars. The console will move only one bar at a time. I've printed out the page from the walkthrough so I know I'm following it exactly. Could there be a bug of some sort? Should I go to the Adventure Company site? I'm at a loss.
Does anyone else have Vista and have the same problem?
I mean--the console will move only one fan at a time.

If the console doesn't do anything; the bars are not set up correctly. Best to recheck all the step by step and double check visually that the bars are in the place it should be.
You need to connect cables 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7 and 8, 11, 12, 13 and 16. The other numbers-bars are already connected so no need to do them.
I have to bid you Goodnight!

pam, When you highlight the saved games on load, can you right click it. If so, check if there's properties. If you see it - open it and see what the address is stated. Please use the 'edit' button at bottom right beside the reply button if you want to add info on a recent posting and no one has posted after you. This way - you can help us a bit on bandwidth. Thanks for your cooperation. As for the telescopes, did you use both lenses and then looked through the telescope. This way you can identify which gate is off. They are not in the correct position yet. You should turn the gates to have the blue ones at outside position. Be careful also that you are not taking off the lens when you look through the telescope. There is an area where there are 2 telescopes - so check that you didn't miss it.
