I got a new computer so I decided to play URU again. This is the single player version not the online version.

My graphics card is much better now so the game looks very different. I now have shadows and the detail is great!

I am in Gahreshen and have it powered up but the elevator will not work. Its light does not come on so I cannot open the elevator doors. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks.

I don't remember much about this game.
But do you have your KI already? I think that opens elevator and other things.

If that doesn't work, let's wait for a vet of this game to help us.

r_fike, a few questions;

When you got the power on, did you power up all the other switches?

There are two elevators. One goes up and the other goes down. If one doesn't have the button lit, does the other one?

Hope this helps. Dave

Hi fike. I just started replaying URU on my Vista computer too. I just started Gahreshen so I will let you know if I have a problem with the elevator.

As Dave said, all switches should be turned on - you probably missed one.

There's definitely definitely definitely no logic to human behaviour.

I made it to the first elevatorbut can't make the jump to the rock to reach the 4th cloth. Very frustrating. Anyone got any suggestions on where to stand to make the jump?

You mean, you can't reach the cloth that is on the high rockish-pedestal? First, go to the rotating bridge (obviously). don't stand on the edge, take a few steps back so you'll have a push to your jump. When you jump, don't wait until your exactly infront of it. Jump a bit earlier. It should work.
This jump isn't that tricky, since there's a gap of about 2 seconds that allow you to jump. The next jump (to the other part of the age) is trickier.

Tomer I've jumped from several spots and I can see that she seems to land on the rock but she passes right thru it. I'm beginning to think there is a glitch in my game. I'll try again and let you know if I make it. Thanks for the advice.

Oh I am sooo happy! I finally made the jump!! I think my problem was I was trying to jump tp the tpo of the rock and that was to high. After ready Tomer's post I tried jumping to the walkway just below the rock and to the right and I landed prefectly the first time.

Thank you all ao much for the help. I spent over half a day doing that jump over and over. What a relief!

Thanks all. I do believe I did not turn on all switches.

Thanks again.

Yes I did make the jump from the revolving bridge to the stone but it was awful. I kept falling through the rock. I tried what you did Kaki's Sister and it worked. Thanks for the tip.

Yes but, because the walkway is lower than the end of the bridge I just ran off the end I didn't jump. Dave

Now that was creative Dave. I'll try that next time.

Just wanted to let you all know I finished URU this afternoon! Now I'm going to replay The Path of the Shell and "To D'ni".
