Ok - I have done a search here on this topic - as per above title - but obviously I am doing something wrong as hundreds of topics came up not even related to this game.
Now I have sailed through this game - but am stuck at Day 78 because I dont understand what to do with the lower separate grid with all the locked tiles. I do NOT want the solution - I just need a hint as to how to get to these unlocked tiles please.
Can anyone help please? I have looked at Gamezebo etc etc but cant find any help on the internet at all. Someone please make my Sunday a good day LOL!

There's also tips here (scroll down) for how to give yourself more lives. The last post in that thread says you need at least 3 fireballs to get past the level.

Thanks Misa - I already have the extra lives - Its extra TIME that I need LOL!
I managed to get three fireballs but after unlocking the two middle frozen tiles, what should I aim the fireball at next?
This game is just SO addictive.
Also I have anaother problem while playing this game. I have a new Logitech E110 cordless optical mouse and the cursor continually flickers and disappears whilst playing this and other Bigfish games. I have played 80 Days before with a normal corded optical mouse and did not encounter this problem. I have contacted BFG support, but just wondered if anyone else had experienced this problem?

Rosa, I have not seen a trainer for this game to turn off the timer. I haven't heard anyone say that a mouse made a difference in how a gamwe runs but I suppose it's possible. Let us know what BF says. Ana

Whoo Hoo - I finished the level (more by luck, I reckon!) and the first 80 days around the world - It took me the whole morning to crack these last few levels whiich I found very very hard.
Thank you for your help, without which I would be still tearing my hair out!!

Oh and about that flickering cursor - Duh - I went into Options to turn off the hints and there was also the option to "Use Custom Cursor" - I clicked ok and hey presto - all my problems were solved LOL!

Thanks Nikki!
I have been on the game info folder and I could find nothing about lives in it. I am on my Vista laptop. Maybe I might have more luck with the XP trying to change the number of lives. But I did try your hint about changing the time on the level folder and it worked! I was able to get Day 49 done in which I had already lost a couple of lives trying to get it done.
The timer was running but real slow. All I did was double the first number on each level in wordpad on "time ="

You are so right Nikki, it doesn't matter how many lives you have if you have to keep starting over again and again. You can't progress in the game, you are still stuck, starting over and over, waiting for the exact right conditions to happen. With the normal timer, it is too hard to finish the level and becomes totally frustrating. I wish all game developers would understand that the timer needs to be an option for ones that enjoy being timed. For some that is fun, and that is fine. For me, it is total frustration. To me a timer is like reading a book and being timed. No matter where you are, when the timer goes off, you have to restart the book. I can't concentrate on the book and enjoy it for worrying I am going to have to start all over again. And it has absolutely NO reason to be timed in the first place. Thanks again Nikki for finding the timer option! Koalanut

Okay, I do need some help. I am stuck on level 49. Tried to find the file gameinfo, but didn't see it. I need to get more time. Can someone help me further. P.L.E.A.S.E.

Bets, are you talking about this? For those of you who need more time (I have XP), go into notepad and following the same path as you did to change the number of lives, choose the file called "level". This files contains information on each level including the amount of time you are given. Where it says "time=400"(or something close), add a number in front like another 4 "time=4400". When I did this I noticed the timer moved extremely slow and finished a level before the timer seemed to even move. menauhune, are you still stuck?
