Didn't notice the frogwares link Wednesday (the 11th)... probably was so intent on viewing the screenshots that I was blinded by excitement. Frogwares seems --mostly-- to put out 3rd person games... unlike the "JTR" game from 2004 which was in 1st person. So there probably won't be much of a 'sequel' feel to it (as I was hoping). Even so... can't wait to see more about this adventure.

Carrie -- The most recent Sherlock Holmes games (The Awakened and Nemesis) were in first person. In fact, Frogwares has been working on an interface that will allow the gamer to choose between first person or third person, depending on their preference.

Sorry -- what was the "JTR" game? Oh, the previous Jack the Ripper game by Galilea.

Thumbs Up to Frogwares. Of all the things discussed here about game 'druthers', this one (preference of 1st vs. 3rd person perspective) seems to stir up more discussion. If any developer accomplishes this, it's sure to bring both 1st and 3rd person fans to the cash register to buy the same games... and make us all happy. And what a much nicer gameworld that would be!

Who is Sherlock and is he in the Watson's Holmes? Never heard of him...

Oh my g*d! I still havent finished the first one or even started on the second one. The first one is just too hard and print on the books are just too small to read. Is the second one like that? Cause if it's not then I'll just play that..

I don't remember having trouble reading the print anywhere in Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis. I did have a bit of trouble reading the print on certain reports in Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, but it was (for me) only a minor issue.

In the awakened, almost at the beginning u have to do some reading but I couldnt read the writing..

In The Awakened, as I recall, the "Reports" appeared to have been scanned into the game, and they were somewhat fuzzy. I could read them, but it took some concentration. The "Documents" (the vast majority of the reading) and the recorded Dialogs were much easier to read.

It was really bad in The Awakened. Half the documents were in a really small and fuzzy font, and I couldn't read them. This made the map puzzle unsolveable for me since I couldn't read the coordintes. How it got past beta testing is beyond me.

There is a bit of reading in Nemesis, but the writing is mostly clear. There was one point where I had trouble understanding Holmes' joined writing, but it was only one document.

Hello, we are sorry for the Awakened documents, we made everything for very good player eyes at 1280*1024 resolution, if resolution was changed it was not as good and blurry.

We remade all documents in all 13 languages for the remastered version, so people won't have to suffer anymore to read the docs.
