There's a new CSI game coming out way... Today Ubisoft and CBS Consumer Products announced the all-new video game CSI: NY. For the first time in the CSI video game series, CSI: NY will allow you to play as actual characters from the hit TV show. The video game features five new original cases crafted by writers from the CSI: NY television series and will launch for the PC in time for the 2008 holiday season. Game features include: SOLVE CRIMES IN THE BIG APPLE - Finally, CSI fans can experience the environment, characters and mysteries of CSI: NY. Piece together clues and uncover hidden evidence in the biggest city in America. Explore five brand-new, bizarre crimes and bring suspects to justice.
PLAY AS THE STARS - For the first time, take on the role of CSI stars as you play the characters of Detective Mac Taylor and Stella Bonasera.
MORE ACCESSIBLE GAMEPLAY - A new, moody graphic novel art style and enhanced, user-friendly interface will assure accessibility and hours of replay for all types of gamers. Improved gameplay includes new mechanics for conversations, computer use, blood work and much more.
CONTROL INTERROGATIONS – For the first time, players can control interrogations and use evidence to reveal a suspect’s lies. Take part in dramatic interrogations and create atmospheric reenactments while exploring grisly crime scenes inspired by the show.
DIG DEEPER WITH NEW MINI GAMES - Includes an incredible variety of new mini-games, such as: code breaking, facial reconstruction, triangulating shooter locations, physics simulation reconstructions, Internet searching and more! For more information, visit the game's webpage here.

Great news, I was wondering when we'd see a new CSI game! Thanks for the info!
I just checked out the screenshots and it has a very "cartoony" feel, not at all like the first 5 CSI games that have been released. I'm sort of dissapointed.

I was wondering why they hadn't made a NY version. I thought perhaps the actors were not happy about payments for voice acting (which would mean most would hire others to mimick the actors). But still good news, I do love my CSI on the PC I just checked out the screenshots and it has a very "cartoony" feel, not at all like the first 5 CSI games that have been released. I'm sort of dissapointed. Dont be so quick to judge yet, give it a chance, it may not look good screenshot wise but may play smoother and have a better feel EDIT: Oh no! I just noticed its Legacy Interactive that is doing it, the ones responsible for killing the Law and Order games >.< and the poor The Apprentice game Perhaps you might be right now

Hi DABhand -- I didn't play The Apprentice game, but I thought the Law & Order games were enjoyable and the games improved with each sequel's release.
This is the third developer (that I know of) to create a CSI game -- it should be interesting to see how this one compares. Their last L&O game was so buggy that people hit their forums with a fury ive never seen before. But it was a new attempt for them with 3d models. Why ruin a good system that people enjoyed? And The Apprentice well, it was designed for kids IMHO, the cartoony Diner Dash kind of system really did not give the show itself credit and Don must have considered jumping out the window for touting the game before it was finished and evaluated. But for some reason he gave them a second chance to improve it, what did they do? They did it again the same way but a bit harder lol. Oh the fun. I hope they prove me wrong but, I wish Ubisoft kept to their last developer who developed 3 Dimensions of Murder, yes it was somewhat easy to solve sometimes, but they didnt have crashes or bugs alot and their support was very good. (the developer also did the Sam and Max series which is hugely popular). Silly move by Ubisoft in my opinion.
